Hi im very new to map making infact i only got the program like yesterday.... i have made a map simple ofc but im thinking of putting on a server me and my freind are going to be running.

im not sure if thisis the one i will put in but this is my first real map i have made i call it noob town because the genral idea is to have that map for all new comers from lvl 0-22 maybe alittle more to be able to level there and learn about the game.This is why it is so basic nothing fancy just somwere they can buy pots and items at a low level and do afew quests.

please share ur thoughts about my map and tell me if im heading in the right direction thanx.

ty but the tiless were changed after that and the map isnt finished still thinking of sticking caves and quest npc's in!

Fec isn't tryin to give the lad greif. People post their maps here to get opinions to help improve their map making skills.

On topic - Not too bad mate, just remember to mark off edges with cliffs / trees so people can't walk right to the edge of the map.

I made maps a few years back, i know whats what in the map world.

He is giving constructive criticism i too say those maps are 1/10 the grass tiles are all the same and there is too much shrubbery its a nice size map but may i suggest a cliff going round the edges and a few more trees instead of shrubs and maybe a bit closer together say a forest. And it will be a 7 or 8/10 map,

i think thats very constructive, and i agree with putting more cliffs/forest/water/wall around edge. to many people are making maps with no edges, yes they work, but loook very tacky XD

very constructive and gave plenty of reasons mutated.but for some 1 to say its **** 1/10 and give 1 reason thats wrong with it isnt constructive. personally id say with the edges done it would looks fine as its annoying when ur running on mir and u cant see owt coz all the trees towering above u all u got to go by is dots on ur mini map and glances of ur char thru trees. u just gotta love a trimmed bush :P

lol xanan i remember when u first released them maps.. yeah basicly the tiles dont match its surroundings. the layout is ok but alittle flatted, you kinda know where it all is b4 you even start to move. sometimes its good but when making new maps the wilder the better.. extream maps tend to make good maps.
