Opening my Ports

i just got my new ISP and i cant seam to play any online games and get the internet( some time's i can get on the net and some time i get page notfond) for longer then 30 min i was told i was going to neeed to open my pot to play the online games and get on the net 24/7

Can any one help me plaz asp i cant play MIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you don't need to open ports to play mir or most of other games...

check your router settings... maybe it's not configured properly... try resetting it and reenter your pppoe login info... mtu setting maybe too high...

run some more network checkings.. like ping, tracert, etc...

i look on my setting on my router and my MTU is 1492 is it to high and if so that shoul i change it to

are you on wireless? maybe switch channel can help.

did you do some ping tests?

MTU is really for large downloads, 1492 is the default for many routers.

how long have you had this problem?

is it since you got a new router?

has it worked with that router, so has it just recently started doing this??

it has bin doing it all the time it should be fix soon i have rang my ISP to fix it ty all for trying to help

if your in the UK, try MTU of 1500 and remember to use PPPoA not PPPoE
