EDIT2: I would also like to point out that most of what Ben says comes to pass...

Ben comes on a new server advert and says things like " this server will close in a month ", "this server is corrupt", "this is a donation server and only in it for the money", " this server is ran by idiots who have not got a clue", "this server is ran from a home PC" etc... etc... etc..... is it any wonder that the server does not last?

Many people know Ben is full of crap and don't listen, but anyone who don't know him or is new, will definitely be influenced by his comments.
Once Ben starts spamming, he is quickly followed by his mates and the advert is very quickly ruined = this is the issue people are complaining about :angry:

servers do shut down within a month despite server owners saying 'Why say that Ben? I'm here for the long term etc etc.'. an example being Oasis server.

Again, Ben ripped the Oasis advert to shreds at every opportunity right up until it closed.

Those who lisen to Ben tend to improve their server and those who don't tend to run it into the ground.

Who has listened to Ben and still going?

Those who get their feelings hurt jump on the Ben hating band wagon and it is this constant sniping at Ben that does have a negative impact.

Nobody has a go at Ben until he starts it, and that's a fact!

I am not defending him as he does snipe back, but really, do we really need constant provocation for provocations sake? at least ben makes constructive posts rather than just pointless aggrevation.

If you believe that statement your truly disillusion! What is constructive in saying " This server will shut in a month" ?

I predicted that Ben would lose interest in 4H mid rate because a mid rate is much harder to make cash from than a high rate server.

I predicted that Ben would give 4H mid rate away and open a high rate.

I predicted that Ben would go back on his word and start selling Kit, rather than just the buffs and stuff he was selling on Mid rate.

I predicted that 4H high rate would start to become similar to Old Skool where people who donated got a big advantage over those who did not.

Guess what? I was correct on all of them :thumbup1:

Do I feel like I need to tell everyone so the avoid Ben's server? = NO

Do I copy all the negative comments on 4H forums and paste them here to prove my point? = NO

At the end of the day, server owners should concentrate on there own server and let the players decide for themselves what they think about other servers.

Paul, Dan ,Tallos and the other server advertisers never said anything negative about Ben's server and left it alone. They only ever bit back once Ben started with his games.

I agree Paul posted that Ben had used key loggers, but if you read his post properly, he did say that it was a lie and he only said it to prove a point. Shortly before, Ben had just posted a blatant lie saying Paul's server was run from a home pc and he was telling players he had a dedi. This was totally untrue and uncalled for, but Ben got away with it while Paul got infracted, warned and I believe banned.

The only people who removed their advert was you and why do you see it as a competition?

It would make more sense to not let server owners post on other server owners threads.

It would make perfect sense.

It would also save a lot of arguments and flames, and give advertisers a fair chance at getting a new server established without it being torn apart.

If you are in a position of power to do this, why not give it a try as it can only be good and will put an end to this debate.

Dear Admins,

It has come to my attention, that the spam in the mir2 advert section has got out of hand recently. Please could you introduce a new rule(s), either preventing server owners posting on other posts, or locking server ads to prevent this issue, then having a separate "Review" section where people can post review, which can be linked to the ad. This will also promote people using the servers actual forums, taking the stress load off the mods here on cleaning up after us.

My reasoning for this is that, I myself have an advert in the mir2 section, and the spam on it, is giving my server a negative reputation. I feel introducing a new system would much benefit the section, as well will give every server a chance, to grow and establish itself without people posting slanderous, and unfair comments without even trying the game.

Thanks in advance for this, and i will await to hear from one of you.

I have two server ads in the mir2 server advert section. They keep receiving constant spam, and negative comments, none of which are true. It seems to be a group of people from another server doing this, with a couple of "band wagoners". The server in question is 4Hero's and its team. Its also come to my attention they have two moderators on their team. Their post is nearly 100% spotless and any negative post is usually wiped within 12 hours, yet they last 12-48 hours on my post.

Would one of you please be able to look into the matter regarding the issues brought up. Thanks in advance for this, and i will await to hear from one of you.

I don't know what Paul's intentions are or what he wants to gain from posting. I presume it's just out of frustration that his adverts were continually trashed.

I just got peed off at Ben putting everything and everyone down all the time and spamming the hell out of every advert that anyone put up.

It pi*sed me off that his comments were left on adverts but as soon as someone posted anything slightly negative on a 4H advert or about Ben, it was immediately removed and the thread cleaned.
Many players do believe what they see on server adverts, and once Ben started posting, he was normally followed by all of his players, and in short space of time the advert was ruined and usually wiled clean of all comments ( good and bad )
4H advert on the other hand usually only had the negatives removed.

I saw this as very unfair to ALL server adverts and was very harsh on new servers who were just trying to establish there player base and get onto the first rung of the ladder.

The only server I play now is 4H high rate, and think it is good enough to hold it's own without the need to put the competition down unfairly.

I'm actually quite bored of posting on this subject, but just thought, like the others, if I posted long enough Ben would get fed up and stop being a nob.

1. You know this for a fact? Your wrong.

2. Given away? Its still run, maintained and updated by the FourHeros team, Ben isn't a one man band.

3. Don't recall Ben ever saying items wouldn't be sold on high rate.

About fourheros advert, I did report 10 posts+ when paul starting spamming on it without goin to his advert and post crap, it wasnt a big deal for me, while you guys here smashing keyboards trying to get ben banned, just think about it, ben comes to your advert gives negative feedback you dont like, simply report it, and wait for a mod to remove it, but hey you felt the need to do the same, so yer your both wrong and get the **** over it (Paul,Ben)

Also The Point that Mods here have there favorites is a fact no joke or something. The prob is only each time someone see it and get pissed and start to discuss ...the one is at the end the only one that get banned and nothing changed ...since years and unimportant in what section.


And Finaly YES like Ida also said it makes sense if GM from a own server not post in other Advert section. (i mean now Specialy if they never was on that server or only for some hours) That cant be. i know some GM play on other servers to have self fun cause mostly on own server it is not possible ...that GMs i not Mean)

I really cant see admin and mods changing all their rules for someone who wants to chuck their toys out the pram and who general seems to think so high of themselves that their senses dont go past their own self importance and realise they are being total fools?. I firmly believe what i have stated in my posts.
No server owner should never post on another advert.
How can ben play a server for 1 or 2 hours then rip the **** out of it.
its not right.

All we want is a fair system thats not rules by ben or his server team.
Your self and pereacher should not be a moderator over the mir2 section as you have a vested interes in it.
You may not think so but i firmly do.

What we are asking for is not a hard decision.

Give every one the same treatment and stop server owners posting on it.
No other server owner posts the same **** ben does on other adverts so whyu should he do the same

really i try to stay seperate to all cause it is mir2 not mir3 section and i ever was gm from a mir3 server.

The Point is that here people are pissed cause something happen that should not happen and in that case they have right. If a mod isnt neutral and prefer own server or acting in other way. he is a bad mod. that is fact unimportant about he say that and he do this. if that happend than realy it is maybe time to thin about that mod.

and as next the server advert page in lom2 or lom3 is for players not for people that runs own server. it is not like that 10k people playing lom it is like 1000 do and that 1000 jump from one server till they get bored to the next server.

if they wanna know how a server is why they read postings about what a other gm think about that server ...a gm that self will have the players cause there are not much ?!?!

The Rule make deffently sense.
