Patcher ****ed me over

It could be due to the overload of people using the patcher causing some people to not be connecting to the ip properly, this is why we released patcher before initial launch.

like gezza mentioned right click restore previous version on chronicles folder is another option

we are looking into it.

Both me and my friend are trying to patch both almost finished and it deleted the whole thing. Not impressed after waiting a few hours lol. Not a great start

i just right clicked main folder (chronicles) and restored a later version as i downloaded a few days ago only takes a few minutes fastest way nd i didnt see your post saying the same thing my bad, but i can say it works.

Maybe this will help from the autopatcher deleting files on its own

Goto Directory
Open patcher.ini
Edit :"DELPROMPT=false"
Change :"DELPROMPT=true"

it should ask before deleting any files now.... Hopefully it works for all. ( keep a backup just incase though)

This started to work but just keeps coming up with errors

Perhaps its best to change this setting once your files are completely downloaded to avoid any errors.

Refer to the folder properties and check for previous versions if it has been deleted on you. perhaps you can restore the old folder which had all the files updated.

Not trusting it unless it's off a team member, a host can't just terminate your server because of attacks though? They should have better security and solve the problem.

It is possible for a server company to take your server offline, without warning if it is impacting on other peoples service.

Mitigating attacks for a host is very time consuming and resource intensive so the easiest option is to take a server offline.

If DDOS protection isn't something they offer then there will be no protection on your servers of that magnitude and thus they're not equipped for this kinda of thing to happen.

That been said, I've seen nothing from any of the server team to say this has happened, generally though a server wouldn't be physically unplugged, specific traffic to specific ports would simply be blackholed which would give the effect of a server been offline.
