Pet Taming levels changed?

Hi,
Has the level for tamed pets been changed? At level 33 I tamed spider frogs, last night at level 37 I tried to tame one for 25 mins and nothing happend? Had other people mention they can't either.

Yes because on the previous patch notes we explained that taming was a problem. you were able to tame level 38 mobs at level 33.

With regards to a pet taming Guide, thats a community thing, if someone wants to complete this they can.

So what exactly can we tame then if anything at all as you say it was broke does this mean it still is or has it been fixed now?

so there is no point in being a wizzy as we cannot tame anything??
So at lvl 25/26 and having to kill beasts and boars and you expect us to take in oma fighters which die 1 hit.
maybe if you take away the unlimited PET summoning for taos and the companion for archers might make it a bit fairer
but then its always the wizzies that get nerfed so you might as well take the whole wizard choice from the character making section

Let's be honest, when has wiz pets ever been useful? Maybe when red moon valley first came out on euro back in the day. But with all the new spells and added items, it's faster to lvl without. Taming pets are just a redundant part mir for the start.

I always remember wiz pets being tamed and lvled to leave on an un suspected foe afk in hope for his garments on euro. Other than that never been useful. Bolt firewall behind walls for bosses. Lighting firewall in lines for lvling. Pets just waist time.

So I hate to slightly revive a thread, but is there an answer for this? I've just started on the server and would really like to know if taming is a thing.

I understand 'you' might not think taming is worth the time, but I'm not you, and I enjoy the taming side of mir and always have. I'd really love any information on taming levels / or if taming is working, as from reading above I understand it was removed due to bugs?

Really would be nice to have this fixed. As said above not everyone uses pets but alot do. I would like to have pets on my Wiz gives you something to level for other then kit

Aren't frog spiders level 35? In which case they should be tameable (is that even a word?) at 33?

Could maybe have Taos Revelation give out some stats on a Mob as well as showing its HP. Level, Health Pool etc? Would give people the chance to find out tame, repulse levels required etc.

So I tamed some spitting spiders, what exactly is broken with taming right now? Are things requiring a much higher level to tame? Also, I can't seem to level the spiders at ALL... I have spent forever letting them kill low level things, is this broken too?

Real buzz kill to not know the answers to these questions, so I'll be staying off the server until I know what is what... An answer would be really appreciated as to the situation of taming.

I'll try and explain so you can stop moaning about a skill that is ultimately pointless for a wizard.

On this server you can tame things 1 level lower than its own level. Taming here lasts forever or until they die. Your pets gain experience relative to you, so if you kill something with a lot of experience, they share that experience and will level up quickly. Do not go around taking them to kill low exp mobs because that's not how it works on these files.

I'm going to be blunt with you taming is pointless up until level 43 where you can tame BlueFrogs in foxcave. You could make the argument for the yellowfrogs too, I suppose at level 35, but they're both bugged on here and walk towards the target to attack rather than away from the target, making them a pain in the ass to manage. They'll eventually wonder off and die to something at some point if you don't constantly keep an eye on them. They are at best a one time use tool in PvP to win-over a fight, or a means to kill a boss quicker. Ultimately, you are better off levelling with FW-Lightning on this server for the rest of your days.

You don't get to decide what is pointless though. I'm a solo player, I'm not joining any guild or doing anything you are doing. But thank you for the information, very helpful indeed.

I played legend of mir when it was in beta, so really beyond the point of caring what is useless, I'm playing for nostalgia that isn't just progress based. Again, thank you for the info. +1

Edit: I'd love a list of all useless monster levels too if that isn't asking too much :lol

trust me when I say it makes literally zero difference levelling speed. Absolutely no point using these to level as they die so fast to anything you'd want good exp from.

You are better off going to your nearest cave and FW-Lightning luring, have been since you got the two spells.
