I know you said 1pk point/3 min isn't up for debate, but going with option two while keeping 1/3 seems a bit harsh. I'd be all for option 2 if it was lowered to 1/1.

Ideas for pvping:
Create a map where people be able to teleport to for 1 hour a day at a certain set time. War will start and take place for like 1 hour (variable), every person you kill earns you 10 points and for assisting u get 1 point.
Points could be used buying items at a npc

Rules:
Dying doesn't drop anything on this map (or maybe add a map where you do)
When dead respawning on this map costs 10.000 gold each time
All the players on this map will have a equal level, a certain set of skills, and the same kit (class specific set)


these are just some ideas, could always make differences upon your wishes!

Being red is kinda of a "bounty" think of them as legendary mobs, that die easier and drop the same..

I'd be happy to drop 200k worth of pots, gold is very easy to come by on here and at the rate PB monsters are dropping items no ones kit is actually worth all that much. Hence there is "Nearly no downside to PK".

Anyway I don't care what actually happens as PvP on mir is ****, the people with more time to waste on it will always dominate due to kit/levels.

Am I missing something, everyone I talk to is broke as fk unless they go specific gold hunting for a few hours a day.

just make it so they can't go in town. But if they do some how make it to a safe zone it should be fine! I don't mind it taking long for PK points to go down, it will make waring other guilds worth it, an a gold sink. That would also lower the random low level PKing.

Bounties actually sound quite fun :-D

Bounties sound amazing until you realise how exploitable they are.

You put 1 million gold on my head, my friend pk's me, gives me my stuff back and we share 1 million of your gold...

People moan that its mir and it wont change. But ive never seen it this bad. Looks like one person had fun pking and all the kids thought it was cool so there all doing it :P

Yeah it's getting stupid, i played on chronicles for a bit and that was the exact same, i guess a lot of the idiots came over on here. The server has only just started and it seems to be an epidemic already. People will quit, like they did on chronicles. Players would rather attack you than say "hi"

Ive been attacked 4 times in 20 hours game play

bug cave when I was level 22, vs 3 others. Sure I rted a couple of times, they then split and all rted or died
3rd time in pb they hard to rt.
4th time they started the. Ran into a frost tiger which they lost


if I didn't want to fight i would have rted straight away.

Is there a difference between white/yellow/red?

I killed a red player and dropped me fa.
I was white, got PK'd, dropped 2 braces and my neck. lol

I vote 2. - no reduction in safe zone.

I'd say make it more like the risk of going red was on Euro.

If your red, you cant go into town or interact with npc's again until your yellow..

If your red, you have a much higher chance of dropping more items from body and more from bag.

If your red and kill a white player - you receive no body drops from the kill., to gain pk/pvp drops the other player must return damage. ( hey used to still drop from belt/bag tho).

There needs to be a reason for going red and a risk for doing so too.

personally I would mark all red players on maps - so others can hunt them down and attempt to get pvp drops - at their own risk, while allowing others to see red chars close by and avoid should they wish too.

set up more PK points for lower levels... might stop highers pking in newbie caves

Everyone wants to be a bad ass but don't want the draw back of it. Having pk points does what exacly? it just promotes pking and people will just quit if they cant play the game properly. I get that pking is part of the game (i used to slap the chinese guild around a lot on phoenix server ,eu. but this isn't EU and nor does it have the player base of the old EU.

Again it's ok for you to say reds shouldnt go town etc etc like euro, but one big thing is missing on this server that euro had and thats guild wars. Why should you have enemies in this game if you encounter them at a boss and are hesitant to contest it due to going red and being penalized from towns etc?

one boss fight I got over 1k pk points.. 3 days later I'm still red from it.. lol being red is annoying, your targetted, and when you die you drop.. a lot!

When low level players cant even level in places like BC cuz of level 40+ pricks just go around pking them with no drawbacks what so ever is a problem..
