Hi,

Juats started playing poker texas hold em,

Any one play gt any tips? We had a poker night at my mums pub last night
& i won lol woot £200 to me & i dident know what the hell i was doing :dunce: ,

Iv been playing on Fulltiltpoker.com but only free games atm im thinking of starting playing for a little cash has any one got any tip about playing for rl cash on the net ? How much should i put in?

never played on the net but we used to play one every 3months or so after work (usually a sunday night) in the function room, that's how i got started.

and then me and some mates (usually like 6-11 people per game) started havin regular poker nights which was always fun. but that was before they pissed off to uni

I Thik the best tip av had off any one is if you play make suar u can afford to lose or just dont play.

i play poker on facebook, ive got just over 9k chips i think, u get 200 chips every day u log on (once a day, dont get if u dont log on) quite fun as u can chat to the other on the table etc.

i find the best tip is if u got the most chips try to be controling, try and take people out of the game.

You gota be good at maths if you wanna be really good so you can estimate what hand they got, also gota be lucky lol.

Haha, never tried that. Might have to though, facial expressions kinda go off the charts when MJ comes into play! My poker face is actually pretty decent anyway though.

Never played for any large amounts of cash, only like £2-10 buy in's. Not really had much cash recently so chose not to play =p.

You gota be good at maths if you wanna be really good so you can estimate what hand they got, also gota be lucky lol.

You don't have to be good at maths to work out odds, it's about tactical play more than anything, and luck of the draw if the tactics don't quite go to plan =p.

To play poker properly, you have to be playing with people who also know how to play. Pointless playing with a group of people who will go all in on a Queen high or something. You need to be able to judge what people will do, otherwise the game just goes to pot.

i play quite alot of poker, real life and on-line, if you are a beginner i play quite small tables or the "beginner tables" that are available on some sites.

When i paly with my mates i try not to make a habit of betting in patterns, if people don't know what you have then you have a advantage. Like it's been said just keep a straight face.

I play poker with mates, got one this friday, although it is just more of an excuse to get off our faces nice and cheap, poker is just something to do in between!

i staretdp laying on PKR.com but I found my self spending too much on it!

pkr.com is my fav normally just playin play money but did put 100quid on once went up2 about 150. then startin losing ended up with 90quid lol
but it was worth it learn how easy can lose money

tip for playing online if sum1 keeps makin same bet often its weak
but it could always b a trap so becareful
