4 some strange reason no1 can log onto my server.... all ips and that are in dont worry sum1 said 2 me coz i got windows xp built in or summets i changed summets on xp 2 let me run mir2.exe but no1 can get on server once again its nothing 2 do with ips

got nowt 2 do with unpip did that and all that it still wont let any1 on my server

Well ive been told BT dont allow incomming connections hence why i cant host. If you solve please post again

BT *shivers*. Get someone else, BT are prats when it comes to connection allowance.

yer i can get on my server on 127.0.0.1 and if i go online aswell just other ppl cant get on

BAH! wen i create an account and select ma new charecter it doesnt go onto the start up screen where on dragon server it normally tells u wat gms are on
i have installed and read the instructions vcarefully
and still no sucess
i am on windows xp and m2server is working so it isnt that
although it does take along time to load map files....
cud it be that what confirmation message does m2server say when it is ready???
my connection to the internet is 1mb broadband by ntl
and i have typed in the test ip "127.0.0.1"
i no longer get the NOT READY 127.0.0.1 message but i still require help plzzzz

adsl bb windows xp not on a router.

have no problems wat so ever with the server

i can do anything i want with the server eg make accounts

there is no need 4 questions but am glad ur trying 2 hlp

when u say u can connect 2 ur server u mean ip 127.0.0.1 or with ur net ip if net ip all u do is tell ppl ur up and name of ur server and w8

WindowsXP... This could be your problem , I have WindowsXP aswell , I have been told by LeoCrasher they have a built in Firewall now .. , Try getting hold of some1 and disable the firewall , and try that.

So i just give my ip addy away...

so i just giv my ip away???
and how cum wen i try and create a new account it dont work??
it says "Error! account creation failed. make sure no symbols or abreviations are used" or summets like that...
is it because i can only make more accounts when it is public??
also wen i create a charecter on my account apart from my gm already made on it...i have his name in admin list.but my new charecter cant do gm things
he doesnt have gm powers like my first charecter which does!

well make sure your net ip is in the files and not 127.0.0.1 then ppl should connect and 2nd thing id your running the firewall xp has make sure you allow all the ports in the settings or maybe try disableing it and see if ppl can connect to your server
