Got an issue with this system, was just running ZT 7th and i got a maths equation popup on my screen, needless to say because i was running i almost died and had to TT. Any idea why this is happening on deep cave floors?

What image are you talking about? The server sends the client the information in text format to start with. It's just a matter of understanding the packet.
No. There are no bots online because you changed the mir.exe so a re-code of the bot is necessary.
It should not be happening on that map

Well duh? So the feature is currently working. Bot Makers now have to go and figure out how to get around it (and they will, no one denies that). When they figure it out it can be changed and they'll have to do it all over again. It's how these things work. Anti Cheat systems are not static they have to constantly evolve.
No matter what it'll always be better to have an Anti Bot system and Manual detection instead of just the Manual Detection that Chronicles had before this patch no?

I wouldn't use an authentication system to start with. But if you're going with that, you should at least attempt to encrypt the data sent from client to server.

This is not what I meant.
The exe changed (not the authentication) meaning all addresses for modification have to be re-coded. You could change the client with one line of nul code and a cheat/bot program would probably have to be redone.
Assuming this is true (I don't see why they'd rely on exact addresses when they can scan the exe for the data they want) either way they need to code in something new to handle the Auth System, eventually with time and improvements this will become more and more difficult for bot makers and the time to money ratio will make it no longer worth it.
It's not a one release catch all system and they've never advertised it as such. It's a start.

Its not hard to make a captcha system that can be used to beat the protection you think you have, infact i bet i could get one up and running in a few days
So if i can do this, the system you think you have in place will have no effect on bots, the only people it's affecting are real players and putting them off playing

You going to do something about this muppet alot of team members taking the mick out of winters because he has problems with spelling due to dyslexia and now there pming ingame calling him dumb and stuff like this and this guy on this post will the admins step up and actually make a stand against bullying? Hes genuinely upset and I find it a piss take if nothing gets done about immature little muppets like this.

They've also stated it'll be improved to minimise real players being affected.

Any maths or captcha can be done in less than 1 second on the fly

It's taken me less than 1 hour, i have setup a gaa script that beats 75% of captcha and any it does not beat i can mod to beat it, making it flawless
Not only that but i have also made it 2 ways, i did have 1 hour lol
It's running on webserver and standalone
Webserver you have to load the captcha images in and it will tell you the answer (more or a test really to see the power of it) or api which can be added to most apps to use auto
Now if i can do this in about 1 hour why add this system to it ? its stopping no one

As has been pointed out, this is the first release of a system to stop the bots, it will always be adjusted and updated to make it less of an issue for players and more of an issue for bots.
Anyway this is getting silly now, you do not like they system, fair enough but as stated it is what we have decided to use and we will continue to work and update the system as needed.

I don't like the system because it's not that safe, and it's more of a pain in the ass to players
If it was me and i wanted somthing like this, you use the a simple captcha on a keypad that pops up
the user needs to select one of the options, that simple and hard to beat
like what year is it, you select 2014
no silly typing no working out just a simple click

Yeah for sure, at present it feels a bit over the top if you're running mini bosses and frequently tt'ing/going in and out of various shops sometimes can happen 2 times in a single town visit presently
I am a Team member and I don't really know Winters too well but I will say this whether your friends or not there is never an excuse for taking the mickey out of someone for a medical condition. Dyslexia doesn't mean someone is stupid it has nothing to do with that whatsoever. Dyslexia affects some skills and abilities and is not linked to a persons level of intelligence. I just want to ask are the questions proving a real problem for people with dyslexia and if so is there any way we can make improvements to help these players.

Go fk yr mum doesn't sound like good social skills, but nor does taking the pee out of the disadvantaged and vulnerable. Unless yr in Big Bang when where Aspergers is targeted for humourous abuse. Verbal bullying is fun after all.
Goading the enemy into losing his temper and making mistakes is standard tactics.
