We have recently had a protection field book drop as required level 0 .... and it wont let the warrior use it?

Can a GM please message TheDevilSide ingame please to sort this, thank you

Thanks for reporting. I will fix it in the database but this may not be fixed on the server until a reboot later this week or over the weekend

why have other players been able to use protection field if it is dropped at lvl 0?? can u not come on and assign him the skill and remove the book from his bag please? later this week is a bit vague?

I will not be logging into the game to assign a skill to a player.

No other player has been able to learn the skill as it is a bug in the database, the skill and the book have different names.

We do not reload the item database live on the server as this can cause the database to corrupt

The same as all issue like this it will be fixed when the server is rebooted

exact same bug as was in ace. never got fixed in ace either i think, always required a GM to give it to you...

Aluvz has got and learnt profield, over the same so ur wrong GM as they have managed to learn it....

I will look into it later
but it looks like it is just a naming issue between the spell name and the book name

I will test it on my test server later

Just tested this and yes it is a naming issue and also the fact that there are two versions of the book in the database (what Milo said)
Which means there are 2 versions in the drops, which means I need to fix the whole mess

I have fixed this on my test sever and it will be fixed on the live server when rebooted

If I have time later I may trade the book for the skill
the only way anyone else would of been able to learn this spell is via a GM or if they where super super lucky and got a book called ProtectField

As I have said he got a protect field book which is bugged but you can learn the skill.
