i have read that ps3 is region free it has a settings where it says region free yes or no. heres the thing usa are ntsc and uk is pal will uk games pal i recon play on a usa ps3 when games come out in march

PS3 Games are region free if the developer wants them to be much like the xbox360. But ps1 and 2 games are not so you wont be able to play pal versions of them
theres a video of it somewhere , he puts Japanese game in a American ps3

Yeah, you see they dont actually beta test gaming consoles.
They don't beta test consoles that are out in every other region of the world..
-edit- and even then it wouldn't be beta testing..
So ang on, your telling me you can't play ps2 n ps1 games on the ps3

Hi, please beta test this PS3 for it, its been released in Japan and America, but we need you to test it anyway, because erm....
You can't play NTSC (American) PS1+2 disks on a PAL (EU) Plasystation 3. YOu can however play a PAL PS1/2 disk on a PAL Playstation 3.

Heared sony ****ed up with the graphics card for the ps3 and the processors.
I also hear that PS3 can't hold as many polygons on screen at once than the x-box 360.
Only reason i want a ps3 is because i've had 1 and 2, and loved both of them.

It hasnt been about Polygons for years now..
Yes technically atm the XBox360 wins graphics wise but then again PS3 DevKits were late getting out and it being a Cell Processor it is apparently harder to develop for
In the end it boils down to games and Sony will win that round against the 360 imo.. Course there's always the Wii which will kick ass once developers start using its unique functions (First year of the DS was total crap and Tech Demos now look @ it)

didnt mean polygons, but i ment the bits what make up things on screen, the x-box can support much more on screen.
The cell processer they have messed up, one of that processors top things is a large cache, but its alot slower to read from it than usualy because they messed it up, and it would take a good year for them to fix the problem, but they decided they couldn't afford to delay it for longer.
Sony with better games? Wtf?
I've always found x-box to be the one with better games, Gears of War, Halo 3 (coming soon) All the multi platform games such as fifa etc.
Only want one of the games from ps3, which is final fantasy...

Gears of War is meant to be great but short.. Halo is well meh theres better FPS's out there. Not gonna go into multi platform games since they are multi platform..
Main appeal of the PS3 for me is new Final Fantasy's new Metal Gear new Gran Turismo Level 5's RPG's new Kingdom Hearts (Although I can see a DS one coming out..) + The fact it plays PS1 and PS2 almost flawlessly (once they sort the upscaling issues)
Sony systems always have the most varied games.(Katamari Damacy for example) Generally when you think of XBox the first thing to come to mind is FPS's

Don't want to make this into a argument, so i'l just keep this short and sweet and leave it at that.
It depends on the person really, for one, i dont like Metal Gear Solid And Grand Turismo still leaves alot to be desired.
But i can see where you are coming from.
I will probebly get one either way, that and a x-box 360 aside of each other will make a good tag team to which games choose my fancy at the time..
