The thread seems to have fizzled out. I was wandering if anybody could help? I still feel laggy / overweight when playing the game. I have reformatted, updated drivers, updated gfx card, done ram tweaks, testing mir in different resolution.

Have you tried windowed vs full screen?

Have you tried switching the game to run in 16bit? (instead of the standard 32bit)

May sound like a silly question but iv known this to help a couple of people ingame.

Any word on this yet? For me at least, all this lag stuff started when you guys switched to bigger servers last month. My specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
DirectX Version 11
Intel Core i3 cpu 2.4GHz
4096MB Ram
Intel(R) HD Graphics 1696mb memory

Im guessing i have this lag because i dont have a great video card? Only fix for that is a better laptop or a pc.

i have the same problem and the only thing iv not tried is changing the in game settings from 32 - 16 bit but i cant get it to save so everytime i log back in the settings have reverted i have stupid lag and cant play. My pc runs fine but my laptop has major lag but i'm beginning to think its because it has vista on ! my pc has W7 and its sound. Also iv not a scooby on how to do that VM stuff.

If any1 could help that be great !

im going to give that vmware+tinyxp a try on my laptop to see if it fixes the lag issue. If it does, what does that mean? what do I need to do to get it to work on my laptop normally?

i've so far tried this server with my pc's xp pro and acpi'd, but sluggish as hell.

i then tried vm+tiny xp still sluggish as hell

i then removed acpi n still sluggish as hell ( with new problem included lagouts if i stand in town for 2-3 mins)
dunno if to vm windows 7 or w/e operating systerm which is working well for other people but dosent look like im ever gonna get to play this server. I dont get this on any other server apart from these files.

and before people say its my pc or w/e im sure if it can run league of legends at 120-150 FPS with np, then it can run this mir lol.

It isn't our PC's mate so don't worry about that. Its obviously some incompatibility between the client and certain hardware, that just needs figuring out. It's got something to do with nvidia hardware i'm fairly certain.

I tried vmware and tiny xp. couldn't tell if it was lagging the same way as before as the entire game seemed really sluggish. the music would stop at random times and stuff, as if it was constantly loading. Increased the VM ram to 2gb but made no difference.
Maybe whoever is responsible for coding this client (samuel?) could work with us to try and solve this mystery. I'm more than willing to do whatever it takes to solve this.

I have a acer laptop which is a few years old, 6gb ram decent processer built in graffics - runs mir like I have 37 SOWG's in my bag.. Reformatted, downloaded drivers an everything else - basically tried everything so Ive given up tryna play on that. So I robbed my Gf's laptop which I paid about £450 for last Christmas. Yet again 6gb ram I3 built in graphics - should easily play mir with a good speed. Yet again I lag like fook!! Tried my mates laptop acer 5560 but this has a radeon hd 6520G with 512mb graphics system memory and works on mir like a dream(compared to mine 2 laptops). So I am wondering if the graphics card is now the main contributor to the Mir performance. I will be buying a new laptop in the next week for around £400mark its not just for mir but would help if this played Mir just need to find 1 with a good graphics card it seems.

It would probably help to get some more information regarding the systems suffering from this issue

DXdiag readouts on exact GFX cards/Driver versions would be nice if it's a card related issue.

is there no way the admins can do anything for players who want to play the server but get these issues.. be so many people wanting to play too.
