Sorry Alecs7k I have to put you right again.
Just because a company such as wemade or blizzard doesn't do anything with regards to private servers, doesn't mean you are protected in your country from prosecution. Just by running the emulators you are in breach of copyright, by using the wemade client you are in breach of Intellectual rights. By accepting donations for your server, is classed as making a profit from it, hence wemade took down several servers in Asia a couple of years back. So don't think you are protected by laws in your country, because your not, as intellectual property rights are what they will get you on if they wanted to and your country's laws are not going to protect you from this, as it is a recognized international law.
The only reason these companies don't actually do anything, is as you will find with lomcn, as there are active wemade staff on this site. Is they use the information from private servers, to better their own and majority of the time, these staff will ask on how things are fixed or how this and that works.
@Prai - I don't really want to get into a debate over this, but lomcn was instructed by wemade several years ago to have certain content removed from the site. Beechy and Hazuki are the best to advise on this, there has also been several things brought up by wemade over the years to do with this site, which at each point lomcn has complied to there requests.
But anyone thinking they are protected by running a server, are very much miss-guided in what they think.
