Maybe there is something wrong somewhere else in the speed calculation or the animation? I am only pointing it out that 175 hits before and 175 hits after would seem to indicate that if something was changed than maybe something else may be broken.

so let me get this right.

The first patch changed Warriors from 60ms to 45ms and left sins at 60.
the "fix" is to revert warriors back to 60ms and reduce sins to 55ms?

LMFAO!

Right now DoubleSlash only is 9% faster than last week. Everything else is reverted. For every class ASpeed adds 60ms. Balance change set Warriors Attack Speed gain to 45ms per speed. They're back to 60ms like we announced with this reboot.

-edit- You might be misunderstanding btw. DoubleSlash was 60ms pre update, it changed to 40ms (which was too fast) and now 55ms. The lower the number for DoubleSlash the faster it is. The lower the number for Attack Speed the slower it is. I'm typing this in work so might be making this more difficult for everyone.

-edit- This is what we announced earlier so I dunno what the shocked reaction is for lol

the shocked reaction was towards my interpretation that you had changed sins to 55ms per aspeed from your previous post "Originally it was 60ms now it's 55ms"
changing aspeed from 60ms to 55ms would slow the assassin down not speed it up.

I now understand that you meant the DoubleSlash Animation was 60ms long and is now 55ms long?
so we can expect to be doing 189-190 Hits instead of the 175 we had before any changes.

So warr's still hit @ 8 a speed like they were before all of this happend?
And sins with their uber a speed and blades in both arms hit just 9% faster than a warr with a giant sword (tht weighs like approx 2 fully kited sins that just ate) ?

Not really, 55 milisec is faster thn 60 (that if I understand corectly its the time in between hits). Need confirmation on this tho..

Yes this is what we should expect, although it isn't currently the case, we tried it with a few different people on different chars its still stuck at 175.
Thanks for all the reply's Milo.

Soso, warriors hit at speed+7 if they have speed+7 or speed+8 gear. Speed+8 is bugged i think. I tested yesterday and speed+7 swings the warrior's weapon-that-weighs-twice-as-much-as-a-fully-kitted-sin 97 times in one minute, as does speed+8.

Speed 8 has been broken since start of server.

Sins are capped speed 6 and warriors are speed 7 currently.

Haven't logged in yet today to see how slow sins are again but I can admit for a fact we were too fast yesterday. It was all good and fun while it lasted but whether it be the flinch lock that made it appear too fast, or the "true speed 8" it was just too easy. In Numa I was getting the same exp in Numa per hour that I would normally only get with the 1.2exp pot. The mobs would only get 1-2 hits off before they die without even using fd. We needed to be on par with warriors speed wise, if not a bit faster, but not as fast as yesterday. Just my personal opinion as a sin.

100% it's faster. Originally it was 60ms now it's 55ms. So approx 9% faster. I checked the commit logs to confirm
I belive we sin`s diserve speed +8 i dont care about other classes who thinks if u do this we will ruin the game , think abit while playing on sin since the start of the game we had to learn how to play most of the time due to ppls gettin uber kits and skills that can 1 hit you sometimes , i think its time that they will get used with us @ speed 8 , ive fight with few warriors and i dont get it, they hit faster then sins, they make more dmg then sins , they tank more then sins ...so whats the sin for then? just for SS around...i belive we diserve the speed back after it was taken from us and now ppls who used to peee on sins so easy they found that we will be harder to kill they say we are op thats bs. let the FF/Met dmg like it is / leave the warrior speed like it is / make sin on speed 8 i found it more balanced for everyclass im sure if u was only making sin speed +8 wudnt be so many crys

We were 175 (back to this currently), speed 7 is 195, and speed 8 is 210 which is what we were lastnight.

Just so you know since you don't play a warrior most likely so the jump does seem like a lot on the sin, but yesterday at 210 hits per minute you were only truly hitting 15 more hits per minute or 7% faster than a current speed 7 warrior. The animation and the double flinch (which is what I believe they are looking at fixing) are what makes it seem faster compared to the warrior hits.

I've been playing a sin also recently and with ss teamed with another sin we made mincemeat of any other class. Having a wizz as main I admit mb was slightly op and a 25% reduction might be the answer but FF needs to be left alone . For now with reboot ,sense has prevailed.

MFB, sins are no faster, you may have tweaked a.speed but the animation is still the limiting factor.
