Hey Guys,

There will be a reboot today at 4pm (sorry it is not earlier, it will be the first chance I get) to apply fixes and changes for Chronicles 1.9.9.0. The estimated downtime is slightly longer than usual because I wanted a bit of extra time to give it all one last test on the live server.

Please see the fix list below, please bare in mind that any of this items can be subject to change depending on testing:

  • Auto pot adjustment (no longer uses pots when HP is full).
  • Recall set timer fixed, now takes the full 180 seconds between recalls.
  • @LeaveGuild disabled, you are now required to visit the Bichon Administrator to leave your guild.
  • Bosses can no longer be entraped/lionroared (including EvilEmperor)
  • Assassins/Archers now have Heaven Armour.
  • Assassins/Archers now have Mir Armour, Weapons and Items.
  • Lords are now spawning.
  • ShoulderDash/Repulse sticky bug fixed.
  • ViperCave taking more than one LostMap fixed.
  • Buff icon added for Curse Immunity.
  • Chat messages removed for buff skills.
  • LostShip kitchen removed.
  • No longer able to re-log in LostShip
  • Additional backend security to reduce botting.
  • NoRecall added to Lost ship.
  • EvilEmperor now spawns in time with ship opening.
  • Client optimization (let us know if fps has increased).
  • NoRecall added to Orc floors.
  • Flinch limited to 1 per second.
  • Poison no longer hurts in safezone
  • Can no longer die whilst in safezone
  • Pets no longer attack if they or their master are in safezone
  • Recall set now works on some floors of prajna temple.


There have been a number of big changes in this release, so please let us know of any bugs you find, particularly with armours and lighting system.

Can you justify no recall in orcs just because DD dont like it and (guessing) lost fights despite exploiting ship themselves? I was told you are very keen to have many nationalities playingfor some weird reason but this is pure favouritism.

good to hear DD cant exploit ship logging any more after all these months. been easy levelling. Bet some fast levellers bewell upset now

Looks like a lot of fixes in this update, will be interesting to see what flinch is like now

A decision hasn't been reached on Magic Booster, it is currently working as official even if we don't necessarily agree with it.
No recall has been added because there is a boarding fee to go to LostShip which is currently being bypassed by recall set.
Recall to Orc 5th was an obvious oversight and has now been corrected.

Yes yr right about lost ship.
I did edit my original post to add thankyou for a lot of the work and fixes.

Interesting.

Flinch will be one to watch, although imo it feels as though the main issue is that you get rooted to the spot for a split second when you're hit once. Nice to see an update though.

How does this fit with your stated intentions to encourage fights. I really don't see what the problem was. Not like collo floor is a walk in the park anyway. Fights in there must be dangerous

Which KR are you talking bout If collo is a KR then no I don't. That room is madness Could recall to OKS door on euro and tht dropped very very well and the mobs there didn't even hurt
By passin fee to lost ship sounds like the only advantage of recall set. Whats the problem with that

Did a miss a post about MB? hardly over OP when it only last for 20 seconds. Plus its been ingame for months and seems like an excuse for others trying to gimp the high lvl wizzies.

Collo is the Sub(F5) as Warlord is the boss ( Kings room F7) ?

So it is, but still Orc is our highest level cave and being able to recall directly to a boss/sub boss that drops so well is not on.

Any update on SabukWar ?

Not yet, I really want to completely recode SW and add additional games, so I am holding off on SW updates because they will only be thrown away shortly after.

Surely it's better to have it working back to normal state than keeping it out of game for months until it's redone ? .. Everyone is waiting for this

12-12 MC is pretty OP even if it was for 5 seconds... It is working as "Official" but tbh, it was never really used on euro and USA was different to euro... So there has been a debate about changing it... However, no decision has been made. There is a thread somewhere.

Hell is your highest level cave. And agree that you shouldn't be able to recall to the sub boss for now as its not been repeat killed, perhaps consider when it's killed more often and there is new content.

Getting it working will take a recode, so it will be taking me away from everything else to fix this, so I can then completely throw it away, it would be a massive waste of time and resource for us... I know people are waiting for this, but at the moment it poses no real benefit/disadvantage to fix this over actual bugs that are exploitable/higher in the priority list.

Did you consider nerfing / moving Colussus (maybe to champ room on 2nd)so recall to 5th is still available? I think this is a fair and balanced advantage of having such a set. At this stage of the server, users are more focused on Warlord than colussus.

I would change Coll drop files if he was on second which would be unfair to those who are unable to hunt WarLord at this stage... Also I think not being able to recall a couple of floors before Warlord is completely justifiable, it should require some team work to get to him and it should be difficult and long winded (like ZT 7th was in the early days).
