[RESEARCH] How do you play?

Hey guys,

I am doing some gui work/fixes/adding options to option window etc and was wondering how you guys have been playing?

Thought I would create a poll for interests sake to try and get an idea of what Res/Window mode etc you guys have been playing in.

I regularly switch between full screen and windowed mode depending on what I'm doing and so I can browse net etc easier. Always 1024x768 Resolution.

windowd 1024x768 , but its so lame playing out of a small window, and i cant play full screen because the pixalation burns my eyes.

I play 1024x768 widowed for better performance on my machine With desktop size 1152x864 so window not too small, But do sometimes switch to full screen.
i would love to use the mini gui aswell but the Health bar being top left doesnt feel right for me.
and as they say you cant teach a old dog new tricks , Im just so used to having it bottom left.

I play at 1024x768, in windowed and fullscreen, depending on what im doing. I would like a widescreen resolution that doesn't put you at a disadvantage. (currently 1024x600 just cuts the top and bottom of the screen off)
I would like a widescreen resolution that adds to the edges of screen, instead of removing the top and bottom. Playing in 4:3 is extremely old fashioned. I would like to think that everyone playing, is using a widescreen monitor of some sort. Why not make a widescreen resolution that is standard.

1024x768 normally. If I'm using a secone client it's in window mode on 2nd monitor. As I mentioned ib another thread I would like to see a few higher resolutions added if possible.

i voted full screen max res, although mos tof the time recently i have been playing windowed mode so i can mine on my alts.

1024x768 windowed for most things, full screen (but always make sure its square, you know with the black lines running down the side, hate stretched Mir) for certain things like PKing. I find it easier to PK with a bigger screenspace, hitting up/down/left/right feels weird in Windowed as the range to hit diagonally seems bigger if that makes sense.

I play on full mode which looks like window mode as there is 2 black blocks left and right. I don't know what res that is..

However, I have a different resolution set on the laptop as 1024x768 in windowed doesn't work properly on it!

I play max res windowed and I love it. I might try more full screen but mine defaults to stretching mir to my full screen width...much rather have the bars on the side and have a normal aspect ratio. Anyone have hints on getting it to full screen with the bars?

You have to change it on the actual settings of the monitor its self. As in, not on the PC or on Windows. Fiddle around with your monitor settings as if you're adjusting the brightness. I can set mine so that rather than stretching any resolutions designed for 4:3 aspect ratio, it displays them square. Some screens ya have to do it yourself every time.
