So couple of things we have noticed that are really horrible if they are intended to be this way..

1) Wizards are forced to walk 1step after landing a hit on another player instead of running as it always used to be. Meaning in grp fights if you land a hit it could mean you get jumped and killed.

2) I'm constantly being hit whilst running. Why is this happening if everyone should be the same speed now? Kinda ruins the pvp aspect if u have 2+ ranged classes as you will be hit whilst running and once your hit once you will never get away(unless they are ****). Also the skill element of placing icestorms etc is virtually gone if this is intended.

Seems to be who has the most numbers will generally win now..

Anyone else noticed these things happening?

Second this, the anti run after hit is horrible as a wiz. Just cant pvp as normal :( Made even worse with the amount of damage Sins do to us!

It's the same case for an archer, and yes it sucks.

Carries on running?

If you, hold down right click, cast a skill you'll keep running after the cast, that works fine. But also you can normally cast a skill and press right click and hold it while your mid way through cast animation and you instantly run after it, this does not work however, you walk one space first.

Yup as above.

Any idea why it seems to be fairly easy to hit people while they are running?

It has always been this way....i've never known any class, wiz or war to NOT have the 1 step walk before running if you release the right mouse button.

If you let it go, thats your problem

Clearly you have never played a wizard/tao or at least not been very good at them when you have.

tbh i have always played wizard and i never noticed this.. i always thought that the 1 set was there..

but as you say maybe me and sonic are crap in pvp with wiz / taos
Maybe that was a bit harsh and it was just like that on servers you played.

Played Tao most of the time and currently do so now.

I have no issues, also have no problem fighting off 2 wizards trying to kill me the other day and each had 5 pet Mags.

Of course you don't have problems fighting of wizards, at this point in the game wizards have no damage and die in 1 hit to almost anything.

Stop being an idiot. If this 1 step walk was a game breaker I'd of been on the floor in 5 seconds, especially with Mags chasing you

Who ever said anything about game breaker, were talking about quality of life change.

I had a propa pvp in a dungeon today on my wiz and noticed this

When I cast it takes longer to sart running again than it should after a cast, it's always walked after a cast but half a step the ran, if u keep hold of right and cast keeping hold of right you keep running this is fine but agree with others takes too long to start running again after a cast and aim, you forget we need to release right click to aim at a player the reclick, this is the problem, boot up an old Mir and try it or temp visit a diff shite server and test on wiz compared to here, if you get hit while running its working one you walk 2 steps or so, however when I attacked a warrior they seem to walk 1 step maybe then run? Shouldnt be the case maybe it's just for melee due to holding shift and not mouse? Also wizard casting times are mega slow, takes ages to plant firewalls and firebangs or change from wall to bang etc, not massively slow but a fraction too slow which makes a hell of a difference, it mate melee v caster pvp extremely hard, I was pissing against the win basically fighting this guy, had to tt after a 30 min run around,
Now I'm not complaining at all, but as the previous guy said a sin can almost 1 hit us, which is fine as a tdb can too, but we'd just like it researched / investigated and take out words for it we at a mega unnatural disadvantage ATM :( a fighting chance would be nice :) if nothing gets changed or looked into its fine, I'll reroll or make sure I'm with friends all the time to protect me :p

I wasn't gonna mention anything til I seen this post, I assumed it was like this for a reason and spell haste runes or items would be introduced, guess not :p

Majority of MY posts are complimenting the difficulty of this server, I'm clearly a fan of old skool and graft, and a very experienced player since played since 2001, and I'm informing you of my vast well of knowledge, something's not right :p I don't want it easy, I want it hard, but I'd like a standard to play with ;)

Balancing wiz shouldn't be a point of concern yet, we lack many skills in-game and spell levels, not to mention gear.

Yes ofc. I'm not saying that, we don't have lvl 3 shield leveled fc ice or ff or clone, this is a basic problem we have tho, we expect to be killed by most classss easy ATM and no spell power increase is needed, just a little look and maybe a minor tweak which may or may not be needed, this is something that doesn't feel right with the class that's all, from experienced players noticing it, we ain't complaint that we can be 1 hit or under powered, as we're low levels, there's something wrong with the mechanics we believe, just want it looked into :)
