What every1 wants is a fair playing field , and for people not to be abusing sun pots ... bundles were never a problem b4 ahk .

So if it was sorted correctly sun pot bundles wouldn't be a problem again.

I do agree that it would make people play more strategic and force them to adapt....

But it would also force people into bigger guilds or force them to quit because they cant compete, and have no interest in guild in 1 off zed guilds.

There own fault for just standing there i guess.

And if its sin's your talking about well... there **** vs war unless there agility suited and booted.

tbh not many classes if any fair too well vs warrior

It's not about just standing there, I can get a good 5-6 hits off by been in the correct place and judging where they will move to next - without been able to hit a few suns it's game over.

You ask for a fair playing field. And for people not to abuse sun pots. What me and CrazyBear have suggested eliminates these two issues.

Why are you so against it ?

bundles were never a problem b4 ahk .

This shows you don't know what the AHK script actually did? Bundles were and always have been the problem. Changing the sun pot delay has done absolutely nothing to those using the AHK script - ofc they're still using it and I'd expect them too.

If you want a fair playing ground then implement the script into the gamecode as it is in reality just a quality of life change for melee classes.

The workaround the server team did actually created more work for themselves in the long run because it didn't solve the original issue. If everyone was using it and they then removed sun pot bundles completely, having a "script that sun pots for you" (which didn't exist but lets assume for a moment it did) would actually be a complete disaster because sun pots become a valued and precious commodity. One of which you can't afford to "spam" willy-nilly in fights and would 100% want to use them manually for optimized fighting.

As it stands fights in Chronicles are won by whichever guild brings the most sun bundles to a fight. That, to me, indicated something's wrong.

Imagine if you go to a fight knowing that each and every single person is holding the same amount of sun pots. Your chances of winning a fight is now exactly the same as theirs. It is then purely down to teamwork/skill of each person to decide a winner.

With the above change, if you removed sun pot delay, it actually benefits gameplay. Because if you get punished and have to spam all your sun pots to stay alive, you are 100% going to TT and go get more, meaning you're out of the fight. If you don't TT and get punished again you're dead and that's down to you because you didn't go to restock.

Imagine focusing all your power on say, bursting down Depress in a fight. He now has 0 sun pots. He is now forced to play passive to avoid getting focused down, or TT to go repot. In BOTH scenarios, you guys come out ahead.

In today's scenario, if you focus all your power on bursting down Depress... well then be prepared to do it 10 more times before making him TT, as he's likely carrying 20 sunbundles in his bags at all times. You lose out and aren't rewarded for your strategic game play.

Because it will effect the minority , which you men never seem to think about.

Just because you log in and play with 30 other people doesn't mean everyone else does . nor does it mean that they want to .

Having to depend on other people being online is crap if your in a small guild.

No to adding more non RT-able maps. Just hurts the lower tier players and benefits the bullies.

Just stick the auto sunpot thing back in. That would remove the need for this thing wouldn't it?

@kori i get the method in the magner's.. but if they put the time into detecting people using this ahk and banned them then they wouldn't be a problem in fights anyway?

correct me if im wrong but, if they took sunpot bundles out of game, could this ahk be adjusted so that on 100hp or w.e they would auto tt , and never die in fights... if so then the gm's would have to spend time looking into this.

Surely its easier to get a detection system and remove the offenders..

Also fights have never been won on here due to how many suns you had (unless its 1v1) , yes it prolonged some fights but numbers and speed are always the deciding factor's not how many sun pots.

It would, but then again the problem remains of who can bring the most sun bundles to a fight.

So if an archer/tao/sin or wiz has a bag of sun pots & bundles he's not going to die ?

Wrong.

Most of these classes can be 1 hit... lol

It does help warrior as they can usually dash out of any hairy situation. Which would imply dash is OP ...not sun bundles.

the servers, or mirs future..

think of the best times you have had on mir.. social aspects aside, i bet most of you think of long challenging hunts or long drawn out pvp for a boss - or even just the lvling grind in a cave you stay in for hours? the fundamentals are quite basic, and are often over complicated when considering what would improve a server.

chronicles does have a lot of the good, which is why it is still active - lets not overlook that. chuck in new caves and bosses, you reduce pvp potential. let sins shadow step to bosses, you lose the requirement of a group.

my suggestions? im sure the gms / mods are far too proud to seriously consider anything i say - and would hate to agree with me, so its literally better to keep my thoughts to myself. perfect example being my suggestions thread a year ago where sam just blanked went against anything i said regardless of thinking it through. a year down the line and a lot of my suggestions have now been implemented, but it had to feel like their own doing rather than on the back of what i posted.

therefore i believe the biggest required change would be gms that dont get so personally / emotionally attached, so they could look at suggestions objectively.

Why are most these classes being 1 hit? because they can only sun pot every second.......

The Auto Hot Key script in question is simply one that allows you to (more easily) use a potion in your belt (namely, a sun potion say on #1 slot on your belt) whilst holding shift. Nobody is being banned for that because it can already be done in-game without needing a script. Watch any of my previous PvP video's, you'll see me doing it. Tap shift, press key. Requires quick fingers. The issue here is when you **** up you instead start using the ! shout command and well, kill yourself. Ever see people go !121214141313 as they die? it's because they're trying to pot and use shift to attack at the same time and have ****ed up somewhere. A mechanic that simply shouldn't exist in Mir these days.

That is literally all it is. There was no Auto Sun, Auto RT, Auto TT script. That was literally just speculation created by the very people who are now silenced on the forums for spreading said bullshit.

But hey, lets for the benefit of the doubt assume there really IS an auto-sun auto tt auto rt script, right? Lets assume there is, for science.

How do you stop people having an advantage if they can automatically use sun pots over someone who can't?

Limit them. No, slowing them down isn't going to help (sun pot delay) because they're still going to "automatically" do it over someone who has to "manually" do it - and they're still going to win over you because they're probably carrying more sun bundles because of this.

If you make it so that every single person is limited to exactly 30 sun pots in their bag, then who gives a **** if it's done automatically or manually? You're both limited by the same resource. If anything, using them automatically hinders you now because you may not have actually NEEDED to auto sun pot. Meaning you're now down 1 potion and they're up 1 potion.

Limiting everyone to the same amount of sun pots would effectively kill off any "auto sun pot script" overnight - because it no longer does what you want it to do - give you an advantage over someone else.

You're a fool if you think fights aren't won by sun bundles. Why do you think certain wizzies, warriors, sins are able to stay alive and do so much damage in a fight? It's because they're literally carrying 20 sun bundles in their bag, as opposed to your 5 sunbundles. They can, effectively, survive 4x longer than you.

You cannot seriously be sitting there telling me sun bundles aren't the problem when they're literally killing the game.

If an Archer or Sin or Wizz has 20 sun bundles in their bags, then they're going to survive longer than someone who has 5 sunbundles in their bag.

Comprende? This has nothing to do with classes. It's about suns. No class in the game can ACTUALLY be 1hit. It's 2hits at best considering equal level and equal kits. If there's no sun pot delay but everyone is limited to X sun potions, these squishy classes can spam their sunnies quickly to survive any burst damage coming their way, meaning they survive but at the cost of now having much less sunnies to work with.

It doesn't matter what class you are. If you're all limited by the same resource then it's an even playing field. If you can spam your sunnies willy nilly then again, more power to the user, but you're still going to be limited by how many potions you can carry and so spamming them actually ends up being a bad thing.

Please tell me you understand, I'm losing my lid.

I agree that the shift bug is silly and should be fixed, its the same problem for ctrl and using ranged skills that you have to target some1 with.. both should be fixed..

Well if these certain sins, wiz & warriors can only use 1 sun pot per second and there getting hit for 500 damage per second total ....they could have 50 million sun pots but it won't help them stay alive...

And if there using more than 1 sun pot per second then a detection system would see that report it and they would be banned.

Seeing were doing picture's...

Not gonna quote your post above...but... no class can be 1 hit? whatever man .

The way your suggesting server is ... tank classes hold on to there sun's while squishy burn them... warrior will dominate more than it already does.

You're not understanding the point I'm trying to make.

If someone chooses to mash their sunpot key, use all 30 sunpots in their bag to stay alive, they should stay alive. The downside is they're now out of potions and cannot do that again without TTing. This is FAIR to every class.

You should not punish squishy classes (wizzies, archers, tao's, assassins) for wanting to survive. Currently, you are punishing them by delaying sun potions. That is all that this sun potion delay has done - it's made it even harder for the squishier classes to survive.

If instead of delaying sun potions, you simply limit the potions, every body is at an even playing field because now you have the choice of surviving any amount of burst damage at the cost of staying in the fight longer.

A warrior with 2x the healthpool than a sin is STILL GOING TO BE FORCED TO TT (or DIE) if he runs out of sun potions, which is what you should be trying to make him do.

Wizards without sunpot delay, GG! The sunpot has always benefited classes differently. I.e. If I run at a warrior and we both deal 500 dmg on eachother, I've had to sunpot 3 times and he's not used 1. Also with a wizard, as all damage is 1/3 through shield each sun potion will effectively last for 330 of my damage. Its such a difficult aspect of the game to balance as it affects all classes differently.

I know what your saying.. but the warrior isnt going to use his suns because he knows aslong as he has got them he has the upper hand ...

A warrior can run up smash someone 2 or 3 hits make them use a few suns then dash away while HP large regens there health , repeat few times and then they have no suns . . .

Cba talking any more on this tbh , team want the sun bundles out . Seems like the only thing to do .

Well if i don't agree.... I'm not going to agree am i ...

The correct thing to do is revert suns to how they were

Get whatever software needed to detect AHK user's and ban them .

If the warrior runs up, does 2 hits but doesn't kill them and also gets hit twice by say, flamefield at the same time- but neither opponent dies, why would the wizard use sun potions when he can regain his full health with a normal potion 4x quicker than a warrior can?

You're assuming one class just sits there like a pleb taking damage without dealing any of it back lol.

I mean if that's how you play fair game to you.

The correct thing to do is revert suns to how they were

So you agree sun pot delay is stupid. Thank you. Miracles do happen.

But what if people slip under the radar with this supposed AHK script you're talking about? makes it unfair right? if only there was some way to stop them from spamming sun pots...

hmmm.

Like limiting them somehow? I just can't seem to think of a way, though :crushed:
