First of all you need a reliable host, but I'm sure that wont be hard to find. Then to make server a success I personally like a server to be professional. Like when NPCs talk to use full words and complete sentences. Also be strict of grief play, ect ect. Dont get any prick GMs that dont do anything but brag.

Game wise, get the newest components for a mir server, like stats system and rebirth. Also make sabuk wall worth having. All original maps with all the minimaps, that would be cool.

Reliable Host
Auto-Patcher
One New Installer, Programmed. (Not mir14_full.exe with patches/possibly broken into small DL's or put on disk for 56kers)
Reliable But Not Too Much Advertisement (Possibly won't need any)
A dedicated forum + website to the server (www.lomcnserver.com - But i guess LOMCN.co.uk could be used)
A Cheat Free Non Bugged/Currupt/Exploted in any way server.
Trusted GameMasters who will log on for a healthy amount of time checking grief etc..

And law protection

Ooo and lots of quests

a.. and interface must be pristine, no bugs in it or looks tacky in any way :headmove:

If some one could give me a little help with router i could host 24/7 for a very long tim have a spare pc left on 24/7 dont use it just have msn logged on it so i can chat on msn while on mir but i surpose i could stop that.

Only prob with router is i can host a server but i cant connect to it from another pc inside the router and i am not going to set up a dmz i think i need to create a loop back but im unsure.

everything you add to the server make sure you test it properly :P cuz u dont want loads of bugs, maybe you should create some anti-cheat program as well, because there are loads of people that cheat and the cheats are unbelievable now :P

i suggest getting a server up a quickly as possible. then working on it, adding maps, items, etc etc. that way you wont get bored and leave, leaving another non existant lomcn server.
+ low exp (euro mir if possible)
+ exact stats (why increase them)
+ higher mob rates (is annoying to search for ages on p servers and not find anything)

The only way ill play a server now will be if everything is changed Im sick of see Bichon Wall and Oma Cave, same old crap over and over im bored of that

New maps that i have to explore again would be nice Huge maps as well Maps that need horses to run across(Assuming of course DSY files are used)

Exactly. Make it feel brand new.
One of the things of mir beta was the exploration, most people stuck to the rocks etc running to sv when they were like level 15 cause they didnt know what they would find in the middle.

This server needs brand new, huge maps. Ones that wil take you awhile to cross (cause you wont know your way). People can get to MW from BW in 5 mins or whatever now from just running (without using teleport lol), cause they know the way.
And make the teleporters to the towns expensive, make people run/explore.

You wanna try going to SV level 9 to meet you r/l m8 who logs off when youre lost and then have your candle run out.


But problem with this server is all different people interests. Example: i think Milo's and Yox3's type of server sucks. Tis what drove me away from private mir. A fun server for me is exactly same as euro mir but with a bit higher EXP.

the exp will be around x3, it has a storyline, a seperate site, we are having new provinces (inc starter), and we will be tryin to make it addictive as possible.
