Question 1
----------

(I have read the Idiot proof guide, it was very good, but i have some questions).

The server works offline, I can logon to it and spawn all kinds of stuff as a GameMaster.
But my PC is in a LAN, behind a Cisco Router, this means i have 2 IP's.

one internal 10.X.X.X and one external 219.x.x.x

My guest player (who connects thru the internet), Shows up on the LoginGate (1), he can enter his password, but then he gets stuck at the stone gates ( He does not show up on the SelChr Gate). The Stone gates stay closed and his attempt to logon does not show in the loggings.

What LAN (router) ports do I need to forward to my internal LAN IP (10.x.x.x)

For the gameserver config i have used the 10.x.x.x IP, not the Localhost one.

Or is this not (router)port-related ?

Question 2
----------

what does this icon stand for ?

Now double click on "2-Set Up My Client files.bat"
This will fix your client files so that you can connect correctly to them
This will also create a Diamond Shortcut on your desktop.. use this to play the game from now on

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I'm missing this part of the guide, what do I need to do to my clientfiles to connect correctly ?

already edited server.ini

[Server1]
ServerName=Hell(test server)
ServerAddr=127.0.0.1
ServerPort=7000
SelectServerAddr=127.0.0.1
SelectServerPort=7100
GameServerAddr=127.0.0.1
GameServerPort=7200

[Server2]
ServerName=Hell(local ip)
ServerAddr=127.0.0.1
ServerPort=7000
SelectServerAddr=127.0.0.1
SelectServerPort=7100
GameServerAddr=127.0.0.1
GameServerPort=7200

I have concluded that the [12:59:37] Timed out/Blocked: 10.x.x.x is normal, there is a timeout setting in the ini file of 60000 (probably 60x1000 ms, or 1 minut), so it is normal that it gives a timeout.

But the reason I cannot continue is because the buttons on the login screen (where you put your login data) do not work and are out of place. does anyone know how to fix this please ? the server seems to be running fine ?

EDIT: Seems to be GUI issues (mir2.exe and mir.exe), could use some help ?

Great the Mir2.exe is compressed so cannot be edited by reshack, so basically I'm stuck with te bad interface, I guess there is nothing else todo than to try and install version 1.9 because this 2.3 won't run correctly (Gui). Does anyone else have this GUI problem and where did u get your 2.3 files, Please ?

The button positioning is a bit out when creating a new account. I think the button is actually situated just to the left of the Cancel button, may be wrong though as haven't used 2.3 in a while. I'm sure there's a edited interface around somewhere.

on the login screen the "New" and "Change Password" buttons are shifted up and to the right a bit, but I cannot find the "Ok" button, not on the Loginscreen, or on the Account Creation screen (clicked everywhere to try to find it). I would appreciate it very much if someone could help me the edited interface or the actual location of the "OK" buttons.

Edit: I found out the following : "Interface is in Prguse", I will restore the original Prguse files, maybe this is my salvation !

Edit: And offcourse it doesn't work :'(
(looking for the good interface now)

Thank you ! ! ! I will try them as soon as possible, As I accidently killed my server, rebooted stuck pc at the wrong time -> Ghost 2003 (I know its an old PC lol).

PC wouldn't boot back up, so I Ghosted(2003) it, so I thought.

Ghost said, "Ghost disk ID not found", and started to complain about licenses, Looks like Ghost puts up at flag at installation on sector 62 of the HDD, If this sector is messed up for some reason and there are leftovers from Ghost, it stats to complain (This is not the same HDD, and you need another license).
I ended up killing my MasterBootRecord (with MBRwizard, cool tool, u can whipe your MBR from inside windows XP lol, next time you boot up, all partitions are gone :D) to get rid of this garbage called Ghost 2003.

Now im using a "better" imaging tool called Acronis, or so I've been told...

Thank you very much for the files, I will try them for sure !

could you link me to it ? where can I find it (wahhhh) :middle:

I guess it's normal it runs pretty jerky on a 1Gb RAM 1.6 Athlon ? (that acts also as a server ?).
I will now install my client on my other PC, and hope it runs smoother, which probably will :agree:

Edit: I also managed to do the Mongen import wrong,
You have to Import from Mongen$ to Mongen (and not $ -> $).
Spawns work atm, had fun visiting the kingsrooms already

Ok, now the IP settings, Is this correct for the following config (check the screenshot)

Could my friend connect to this (check screen) and myself from the LAN (check screen) ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Change only the following IP's to your external IP Address.
DBserver\!Serverinfo.txt Code:
127.0.0.1 EXTERNALIP 7200

LoginSrv\!AddrTable.txt Code:
ServerName ServerName 127.0.0.1 ExternalIP ExternalIP:7100

M2Server\!RunAddr.txt Code:
ExternalIP
