Should RTs be disabled upon the KR opening / Boss Spawning?

Should RTs be disabled on all floors upon the opening of the dungeons KR / boss spawn

Just a general question, no salt required.

"Should RT's be disabled on all dungeon floors when the KR of that dungeons opens / Boss of that dungeon spawns?"

Personally I think it would be great in some dungeons, offering that little bit of a reward to the group that have been hunting there in order to meet the requirements of opening the dungeon. It also provides them a small opportunity to make their way to the KR and have a try at the boss before anyone else can get there. At the moment you can pretty much go from seeing the global message to being at the boss within 2-3 mins, this change would make it more difficult for a guild/group to roll up after you've done the hard work to open the KR. I wouldn't want to see any changes made to Wizards Teleport spell, as that's a class perk and a big risk sending your Wizards teleporting round a dungeon to attempt to get to KR and secure the boss.

Also, full respawn of dungeon? Maybe even an extra like 50%, to make it a bit more challenging rather than skipping 95% of the dungeon. Mir has always been strange in that you can skip so much content to just kill bosses.

Personally I'd like to see a system where you need to kill x monsters on a floor to enter a door. Wouldn't affect anyone normally, but would slow those just going for bosses down. But I imagine sins would groan at that as they don't like mass killing.

How about when the seal is broken it does a cave shout just a couple if minutes before the actual global shout, gives people hunting in the cave a chance to try or already start the boss before global shout ( depending how far your into the cave )

This would be a great alternative to locking down RT's. Gives those who've been working towards unlocking the dungeon a brief chance to try the boss before one of the top three guilds comes along and steam rolls them!

With the exception of the low level bosses (Hog/WT/BoneLord).

The other "Non-RT" floors start very early, as oppose to just the last 1 or 2 like the ones above. It would be rather pointless to change something for (In some cases) 1 floor.

Frost Dungeon for example, is literally only the 1st floor you can RT on. Same with Hyuonmoon and Goru (Spelling?!)...other later areas (Such as Departed Valley leading to Banya Island) you can't RT at all anyway.

IF this was to ever be a desire of Jamies, I think it would be very bottom of the pile of stuff he should be working on....by the time he reaches it, you would have passed the areas and have no real desire to have it changed.


So...perhaps if this was in from the get go, it could be useful....but now? Waste of time.

The global notification was changed to begin with to give all players on the server an equal chance to turn up to fight for the boss. Having most likely 1 guild have the notification for even a few minutes would ruin that equality (For the record, i never agreed with the fact it was changed to a global anyway....people in the cave putting in the effort to unlock the room should be the ones having more of a chance to take it).

And most of the time, the people in those caves, hunting there for lvling or whatever...won't have the ability to solo kill the boss lol.

Surely it depends on how long it would take. It could be a simple command for all we know, when it announces to also just add in like @disablerandomteleport whatever 1f etc. Might be trivial change for all anyone except Jamie knows, we're just here to give him ideas. If it's an easier change, maybe unlock rts for harder dungeons while there is no boss. Would be more interesting, and if people get lucky and manage to go down just before it spawns, then good for them.

I also agree, should be cave shout only. If a low level member happens to be leveling in the cave at the time, then why shouldn't they and their guild profit? It should still be harder for people just arriving to get down than those already inside imo.

I don't know I'm just thinking out loud.

I'm not and never will be a top 20 player, heck I'll never even be top 100. I don't do PvP and always play in a guild that only has a small member group and plays for fun. It can be hard sometimes to have that fun when one of the big power guilds is rolling up for a low level boss and takes it off you every time.

I'm not expecting to walk into frost dungeon and grab the boss over a higher level guild but would be nice to stand a chance at getting King Hog, Arch Lich Teadu, Lord Jin Gu (??) etc at the moment its none existent just trying to suggest alternative ways to give the little guys a chance.
