Hello ..

As we know the special items are rare items and it depends on your " Luck " to find it while you're lvling / hunting , but it's not for all classes to use , I suggest to make the special items are usable for all classes , cause it's really annoying for someone when he hunts and find a special item that belongs to another class while he needs it so badly to use it such as ExperiencePole or AlarArmour ..

Thanks.

This is how we initially had it. We changed for a really strong reason. Simply having 1 item that all classes can wear, very quickly eliminates the market value (unless we make it super super rare which holds the same problem). Because the more that drop the more available they are. where as the way we ended up going for means you have a much wider range of items and players are looking for specific item type. This keeps better market value and is better server longevity.

The fact you find it a pain, is actually a really good thing. It means its something you want and something you are willing to work for. This is what makes markets strong on games. Having access to great items to easily is terrible for games. Working towards things is the goal!

Finally what defines a rare item? An item that not many others have. This is another good reason to do it this way. Having rare items that drop with different classes means there again are going to be less of them and again means it holds values better (depending on the fact many people want the item and there are a range of classes).

I suppose it would depend?
as if an item was needed by every class it would have a much wider range on the market for that item, meaning more demand, meaning bigger bids / asking prices

As class based items depends on the % of players playing that class to the market influence that item has.

Either way has their own advantages and disadvantages on market influence

You can always advertise to trade one class item for the equivalent of another (no idea if this server has this feature where you can advertise trades in chat).

Problem with class limited items is that mir random drops leave tons to be desired. Items for some class usually drop much more than for other(s). Apart from this, I am in favor of class items split.

While it is true what LB says about universal items - bigger market and so bids, it impoverishes item drop variety while hunting.
