I was just wondering why some of the spells, namely assassin ones, have been changed when compared to USA.

Flash dash - This spell used to force the character forward and also hit a target if encountered (it would not force target to move, just use an attack with a chance of TDB para). It would consume mp whether you were attacking or dashing.

This spell is quiet key in the way it was set up on USA, and considering USA was an official made by the koreans surely that is how it works now on the korean version?

Moon light - This spell used to make you completely invisible to players within a certain distance and hiden within 7x7 square, you could also not run while active whatsoever. Obviously the benefit of being invisible at a certain distance is countered by the inability to run once found. (Bearing in mind this is then countered by swift feet being able to move 2 squares at once, increasing the effectiveness of moonlight).

Turning this into two separate spells is quiet unnecessary

Hemorrhage - Again you have merged this spell into another spell, this was a seriously effective spell. Passive in nature and requiring no mp to use would cause critical damage hit and then an un purifiable bleeding that took a heavy amount of damage and flinched every 5 seconds. why?

Energy Shield - This spell is a complete joke in comparison to the USA version. Here it acts as a revival spell recovering 10%hp at lvl 0 20% at lvl 1 ect. On usa it would recover an amount of hp every time your were hit, this amount had the potential to recover a greater amount of hp than using potions depending on the type of mobs you were hunting. You also had the capability at lvl 2/3 to cast on more than one ally in your group essentially improving the effectiveness of hunting in groups. Who plans on dieing right?

I do have more questions regarding other high level spells but will leave them for when they get introduced, namely slashing bust/plague(if it is going to be added or not) IceThrust (again if added).

Regards.

Because spells are based of Euro Mir and official Shanda/Wemade and not USA Mir

BH

USA was not made in the usa...

Wemade were the developers of USA (the official korean). Gamepot were not authorized to make any major changes to the game. just minor bug fixs

So am i missing something? Is this the way spells are functioning on Korean mir ?

I know this

USA Mir was unique and changed from other mirs to cater for its market
Spells on Official Shanda/Wemade servers are not the same as they where on USA

Fair enough, would you consider changing them at all ?

Does this mean we wont be seeing spells like Counter Attack, Ice Thrust and Plague?

At first I was disappointed with Energy Shield, but I have found this extremely useful for PvE, PvP is basically redundant as no one plans of going anywhere near 0hp in a fight. I still think adding a crystal armour type effect to this skill would make it more enticing to use in PvP, it is a level 48 skill after all.

Taos are already powerful enough, they are the strongest on here than any other server. Plague will ruin this.

It would be nice for moonlight to make you completely invisible, as at the moment it's neither here nor there. You can't sneak up on anyone, and half of the mobs see through it

We try to be as close to official servers (Shanda/Wemade) as we can and have also been working on new spells and are always willing to hear ideas from players

have a look here you will see some of the new spells we have added or are planning to add

I also agree that Plague is way to over powered to be added to the server

Shanda spells are ridiculous though; catered to the Chinese market.

Surely USA would have been more in line with our Euro version. I don't think you can go wrong by sticking to Wemade/Korea but Shanda is a completely diff path. IMO use their graphics but leave it at that :sour:

We tend to look at both and then decide what best suits the server

Energy shield needs buffing so its worth using (this is a completely non bias statement as i play a wiz and no tao in my guild has it). HP recovery on death should be that of a revival ring at level 3 but with an obvious cooldown on the target (once ES has been USED to recover a death, not just worn off, it cant be casted on target again for 1 minute like a rev ring). Level one and two ES need buffing to 50% and 75%.

Also, im not sure if im correct on this, but i do not think TDB para locks magic as it used to (unless it was only USA that 'Paraed' targets).

As I understood it, USA was tailored to that market. Many thought it had been dumbed down and made easier. Sins there were famously bugged. Everyone was overpowered. I thought the mobs defence had been lowered or the spells were stronger or both.
The levels had been messed about so that
"the players could frequently and regularly have a sense of achievement as they would level up more often"
Is this the answer to the how fast do you level part of mir? call level 10 level 100 so that 10% becomes level 101
then level 445 would be what is now 44 and 50%.
You can fool some of the people...... USA did that very well.
