Morning all...

First of all let me apologize for the disruption of service... Since yesterday we seem to be hitting a bug that is causing communication disruptions between our game server and database server. Last night I reverted the database server to the one used from the previous reboot, but it seems the server has crashed again.

The entire team are currently filtering through all of the settings/code that has been introduced in this reboot to try and identify the root of the error.

We understand that this is very frustrating, but we are doing as much as we can (believe me this is not how I wanted to spend the eve of Christmas :( ).

I will keep this thread posted with anything we find/updates we have made.

A very unhappy Samuel :(.

Boss spawned. Was contested and killed. The crash happened after all drops had been collected and majority of people TTed. I think its unfair to put all the blame on that poor reindeer!

Yeah I mean, as a last resort you could always remove the event and add double exp? Don't go ruining your xmas, let's hope it's an easy fix for you though

Cheers for the comments guys, I sometimes worry more about making posts in case of the reaction than I do about the actual issue.

We are going to try a couple of things to see if they help... The hardest bit from our perspective is we can't actually reproduce the issue without some "intensity" which is caused by a large number of players ><.

NO double exp please.
Not ever again no no no and no especially at xmas. Go and fight with your family/gf
An exp event at xmas would wreck many relationships. During summer its not so bad as everyone wants to keep the children(whatever their year number) occupied.

Plus the gang worked hard to produce this give em a chance to let us enjoy it.

It's in the Chronicles terms and conditions that you must give up family, friends and relationships to succumb to the virus we call Mir :P

mir has always been for the socially incompetent
some have to stay home because of children, mobility or living in rural isolation but they will get together with family and friends at this time of year.

I feel you pain. I have had that this year. I've also had to clear out the kids toy cupboard of perfectly good toys (they are 2 and 4), donate them to charity/local toddler groups - to make room for the new toys we're getting them for christmas.

Now, is it just me - or should we just keep the old toys and save ourselves a few quid!!! They've been in the cupboard for months, so bringing them out they'd be like new toys to them anyway!

When I suggested this to the wife, she warned me she had the power to withdraw sex - so I promptly shut up, and cleared out the cupboard :D

If they wanted to give double exp then maybe a gift via ingame mail would work. The gift would be a non-trade-able, non-drop-able, non-sell-able nor an account trade-able (x...) exp potion that lasts x hours/days. This means it can be used whenever the player chooses thus not ruining anyone's Christmas or New Year time. It also means that everyone receives this gift.
