well in the v1 server there was a stat page with ur aspeed crit damage and a host of other things, which were all o, barring aspeed, but below it there was a king of point system that was never introduced, it seemed like ud get points per lvl up and u could put those points into gaining permanant stat boosts, like hp/mp/sc/dc/mc/ac/amc
people already complaining about slotted items making stats overpowered this will only enhance char stats being overpowered

Ah I get you now, I remember getting really annoyed with that, but truthfully it's been quite a while since iv seen a server with that feature workingwell in the v1 server there was a stat page with ur aspeed crit damage and a host of other things, which were all o, barring aspeed, but below it there was a king of point system that was never introduced, it seemed like ud get points per lvl up and u could put those points into gaining permanant stat boosts, like hp/mp/sc/dc/mc/ac/amc
This makes no sense, nothing is ever over powered unless the server is not balanced. A world of mir where everyone has low stats does not fix the problem, it all has to do with the balance of the content. The ability to get more stats and feel more powerful is a key feature in almost every rpg game ever made.
How I envisioned this working was to remove the default base stats you get per level, and get gives stat points instead which you could add to which ever you liked, gives a little more veriety in players. some may go defensive, some attack, some a balanced mid, some pile on the hp and suffer damage loss etc. etc.
From my experience every one goes for attack, wouldn't work imo.
Depends on whether or not the stats can be reset once applied.
Mir3 had a similar system with hermit stats, i used to go for AC or AMC to lure mobs for Mesh wizzies on guildhunts.
i dont see why you'd have to limit the stats u get naturally per lvl, its not as if you get looads, i mean by lvl 50ish on a wiz u have what? mc 6-8 or so, not too sure on other classes but from the information u got when u hovered over the icons on v1 it seemed very viable, i think 30 points per stat point and 25 or so points for 5 hp or mp and things like that, from that its clear u dont simply get 1 point per lvl, i would guess itd be more like maybe 15-20 points per lvl, maybe even more, but it wouldnt unbalance anything as it would be universal, its somthing everyone would gain per lvl, and as such its just another means of making your character your own, in terms of stats and how u want to play and i cant see that as anything but positive
it would also make lvling more appealing as you wouldnt be working to gain 7 lvls for a measly 1-1 stat upgrade, itd keep forward progression beneficial, not simply grinding for the sake of grinding or for the sake of simply being able to repel/tu/hallu/dash/lr/trap a wider range of mobs, as helpful as those things are, they arnt motivation enough for alot of players to keep on lvling
in any case i was just wondering about it, as id like to see it put to use, i mean its there, so somone put it there right?
not shure on every value but it was similiar to how many it levels it would takethats not what i saw, when i hoverered over hp stat increase it said 30 points for 5 hp, so this system ur talkin about is new to me
