So I thought I’d start a new thread as whats been mentioned really got me excited. For ppl that don’t know, it’s an idea to implement a second exp bar at a certain lvl (let’s say 40 for instance). This second exp bar would lvl up much quicker than your current slow exp bar.

My suggestion would be to make these new levels into acquired talent points, similar to tonnes of other games where you can use the collected talent points on permanent stat increases. (Other games like path exile have massive complex trees...but let’s keep it simple)

A good idea would be to make certain stat increases more than 1 talent to obtain and have an option in game shop to reset all your talents in one go if you feel you want to start again.

Maybe in the box you see all your ac .. dc etc there can be arrows implemented to increase certain things and a box in the same tab showing available talent points to spend.

My reccomended talent uses would be the obvious...

1 talent = ac+1
1 talent = amc+1
3 talents = dc+1 (or 5? Depending how quickly this new exp bar goes up)
...same for sc and mc

But also other things like...

10 talents = 1MR
Can critical chance be an option?
Can increased gold loot hunt findings be an option?
Can even say 10 talent points = 10HP increase

Options are endless and my figures are not thought out for balancing...just cool ideas. This would make everyone unique and I believe less nerf cries for spells as it’s gonna be your talent choices that play a big part. A real personal feel to your character.

I always thought of adding this idea but when you hit the level cap

for example you hit 50
then you start with talent point levels.

When the cap is increased you keep your stats but then work to the max level cap again, then can work on getting added stats again.

This way people can catch up to the 'max' level but the people who put the time in can grind passive points to increase their base stats.

so 2 level 50's could have the same gear but one could have more stats due to the time grinding the points.

Didn’t play Diablo 3 but read abit on it, was it at lvl 70 they did the paragon levels? I also think waiting until lvl 50 would be to much for a lot of ppl as I cant see them getting there anytime soon. Start it at 45 to please the masses currently which will mean everybody starts powering up the levels for talent points, and in turn remove the current soft cap.

Yeah pretty much Diablo 3's Paragon system. IF done right it would be a really nice feature.
