So I did some testing of the current refinement system for the server to see how balanced it was. The testing I did was 1v1 with a maxed out weapon with 30% para chance and 15% Silence chance which lasts for 3 seconds. For anyone who doesn't know what Silence does basically it locks you from casting spells but not from moving. After testing I confirmed my thoughts on it that it was pretty broken Mir Private servers have been about for over 15 years and never have has a castor been able to do these effects for what I thought was obvious reasons.
So I decided to make a poll and get the input of the community regardless of if you play on the server anymore.
An additional things to take into account:
Purification Potion which cures these effects but has a 1 second cool-down.
They work with on wizard and Taoists ranged spells not just melee.
A Wizard can double there proc rate by dropping tempest under the target.
Taoists poison does not trigger these effects
I think a Taoists pets do not trigger these effects when attacking also.
Some spells are unusable on most maps Beckon, Interchange, Dance Of Swallows, Geo Manipulation.
I will say I have only tested this 1v1 with 1 player having it maxed out but I tried to express my worry's towards it to the Shane/banshee and he seems unconcerned with it even after I explained that if multiple castors each have a weapon maxed in both e,g 3 wizards they will be able to keep a group stun locked the entire fight.
After talking to a number of players in the server both in guild and outside from the top 50 the majority of them have agreed that it was a silly thing to add to the game and that it will break it beyond repair if left in.
IMO There are already enough pvp/pk balance issues to deal with adding something like this into the mix is over the top. I try to express an unbiased opinion and play every class and gather feedback from others players but I am just one person I need others to jump in and be unbiased and honest about this.
Which is why I am making this poll I would prefer only people who play the server or played it vote and post comments but if overs wish to comment on oh well. Hoping it draws enough votes for the GM and his team to take a proper look at it.
