Uh oh, my comp gone haywire lol

Well anyway atm im on my laptop lol.

This mornin i turned on my PC from HP Pavilion :P

Well this is basically whats happened. This comp was working fine last night btw b4 i went to bed lol.

1. HP Pavilion screen shows up (The big blue screen)
2. A big black screen pops up with 'Operating System Not Found'

Thats on 1 line, if u press any buttons it will say it again on another line lol.

Anyway do i need a Windows XP Home Edition CD to fix this? or can it be done through a setup lol.

Cause i do believe that it has just wiped my entire system without me doing anything to it.

I've also tried System Recovery CD for Windows XP just incase the OS is still there but a bit screw'd up.

But when i use the CD's it then says sumit about an Error and the system is not supported, prob meaning that the OS isn't there at all??

So do i need a CD, or should i install a crappy 1 for e.g. Windows 98, then install XP Home from Microsoft website??

not sure if hp has this but on start up try pressing F11 on packard bells it boots up an hidden installations thingy but if not i would look about for a ilegal version write it to dvd with nero make it bootable then ur away not if u dont have a dvd writer on ur lappy tho lol. anyways good luck i dont think they would send u the disk u should have it with ur pc if not defo try F11 on boootup im sure it will have a hidden installation if u have no disk.

don't have a CD cause these got tested b4 they got given to us so....lol kinda screw'd there :P but im seein my dad tmrw i think if not then Monday and ill see if i can get 1 off him lol anyway brb gunna try that...

ok doki if not try borrow i cd off a friend or something i can hook you up with a working key code if so. aslong as u dont activate it or auto updates youl be fine. unless you have the key on a sticker on the tower (possiblity)

That F11 didn't work btw lol any1 who has 1 doesn't have XP lol, but the 1's that do lost their CD -.-

lol unlucky well there isnt much more i can suggest lol unless you downloaded a version onto your laptop can used the laptop the format ur pc harddrive but i dont think that would work as i havent been inside a laptop and checked out what connecters for hard drives ect hmm

So i was just wondering if i could get the full thing, i really can't afford fookin £170 lmao

Get a friend to download it and write it on a CD for you.

Disconnec your HDD, reconnect it, go into the bios and make sure the HDD is set to first in the boot order and try again.

have to say it sounds like hd problems rather than windows to me... try a reinstall but dont be supprised if it fails or lasts a week ><... could be time for a new hd

i saw that yesterday and my CD-ROM was at the top lmao, so ill switch it with my HDD??

EDIT: ok i got a Windows XP CD, but when it goes into the setup where it gives u the optiongs

ENTER = Continue
R = Repair
F3 = Quit

When it gets to there, my keyboard disables and i can't press any of the 3 keys lol so how do i stop it from doin that???? come on urby :P

I assume the keyboard is USB. If your bios has the option, enablen USB keyboard support and/or try another USB port.

You want to try R first.

It is enabled and i have tried different sockets lol, it only stops working when it gets onto that screen -.-
