No AFK mechanics will be present. I hate them. No Mining, no fishing. no autoplay.

From the first post -

Zero Tolerance Policy
Ashes of Jin is a fair-play environment. We’ve custom-coded systems to actively detect botting, automation, account sharing, paid leveling, and gold selling. If you’re caught, you’re gone — no warnings, no second chances. Our team has invested heavily in proactive detection to ensure an honest and competitive game for all players. - - This is something we are very passionate about.

No paid levelling or gold selling, you’ll have no players come day 2 they’ll all be banned 😂

Development update

The new Ashes of Jin website is now live and beta sign-ups are open. This marks the start of the next chapter in bringing the world back to life.

A lot has changed since our last update:
  • Professions are taking shape, allowing players to gather, craft, and trade through a living economy built entirely around player effort and opportunity.
  • The long-awaited Cave Conquest system is in progress, where guilds will fight for control of the most coveted hunting grounds.
  • Jiangshi, our evolving boss encounter powered by intelligent behaviour, is entering its final round of testing.
  • The entire UI has been reimagined and is now in its final polish pass.
  • Every item and armour image has been recreated from scratch, and all armours are now gender-neutral to equip.
  • Player movement and graphics rendering within the client have been rewritten to mirror the original Delphi version as closely as possible, bringing back the authentic feel of the classic experience.
  • A Guild Permission System is being introduced, giving full control over ranks, rights, and responsibilities. Alongside it, we are adding Guild Alliances, allowing smaller guilds to unite under one banner.
  • Trust Merchants now operate independently, each with their own inventory. Players can place buy orders, enabling instant sales of crafted or consumable goods, or take advantage of market trading by buying low and selling high.
  • The new Spell Levelling System allows you to focus on your own growth or on mastering your abilities, with spells now fully learned and loaded as you level.
  • Quests and content are now complete up to level 25, laying the foundation for what comes next.

Beta access may be limited depending on demand, so if you want to be part of the first wave, sign up now at ashesofjin.com to receive development updates, news, and early access invitations.

Visit the website for screenshots, updates, and more information about what’s coming next.

I suggest reverting the TM back to global, local will cause player friction for absolutely no reason, and will benefit practically no-one.

Other than that, the update sounds promising.

Hey!

We’ll be going into more detail on how this system works in an upcoming development update.

That said, it’s probably not quite what you’re imagining — tl;dr: there’s a cluster of connected Trust Merchants within the main provinces, with another operating independently further out. It all ties together logically with the current setup.

Of course, everything remains open to re-evaluation after the Alpha and Beta phases. We know we’re experimenting with systems that haven’t been tried before — and some ideas may evolve or even change entirely based on how they play out.
