I really really hope they dont introduce this (Unless it is just for purely cosmetic items, and never anything more) in my opinion it will be the beginning of the end for what is, so far the best private server i have played.

Why are you all jumping the gun? No1 has said anything about putting items in the GameShop? If you would of read the posts u would of answered yourself in your post (Unless it is just for purely cosmetic items, and never anything more)

Why not open a gameshop, doesn't have to be nothing amazing, 10% exp scrolls, special torches, bits and bobs, least that way your getting something back for all the hard work, I'm sure you have some dedicated players here willing to donate to the server

In some other posts people asking ban for exp exploit and item removal from characters... exp scrolls and special torches ARE Amazing... that's why the flame...

There is only one way free to play games can generate income without the "Pay to win" or "Pay for items" is they use a different donation system which is "Pay to be pretty".

Basically you implement a system where people can donate for different skins, spell colors/visual effects. Basically anything visual that does not give any one player a statistical advantage.

There are many ways a server like this could achieve this.

As above, i was referring to experience scrolls and that sort of thing, once that starts is a slippery slope (imo)

Donation for exp scrolls/hard torches/boosts etc is always a bad idea means new content has to be rushed to implement to keep up with the players and server falls apart. I'm all up for donating but if the above is added ill be quitting.
