Haven't seen how you guys are implementing it but the problem with autobattle if you look at oldskool was auto rt scripts making people immune. Hopefully something is changed here to combat that. Or just perm ban people who use it lol

I feel like people are miss reading or judging how auto play works. You are not just going to auto play and be able to do what you want to do when you play. what i fount auto play was great for finding a lower level area, pick a zone to farm while semi afk. but as you are semi ask you will not want to use your full kit, as you will be pked, even then most will want what is in your bag regardless of your items as you are autoing. Many players used to go out their way to farm auto afkers. So again while its viable if not done correctly you are better not using. My idea to light would be to limit clients, as many will try to bot or work a way around. i feel limiting this to 2 clients will help. Either limiting rts or a 2 -5sec delay while auto combat is enabled. Very interested to see how server pans out can see you and chris have done many changes. Goodluck

For limiting clients I would suggest also detecting and blocking Virtual Machines.
Would you be taking this approach?
We can have a look at this, ideally we would be blocking and detecting any way to bypass server specific 'rules'

Undersandably, as AutoBattle (especially on Mobile Games) plays it for you.

I think it'll be a good addition as it allows casuals to play the game more and still progress.
Hard level caps mean that you will then eventually hit the same level as the hard core players as well (dont worry, there is plenty of things to do when caps are reached :) )

Love the idea of a hard cap, always feel it keeps players willing to play the game.

For me personally I feel like this is a huge thing for Mir as it's such a small community, feeling like you have to literally spend all your time chasing players even just to enjoy a few fights is crazy.

Quite a few servers recently have been like this, I hit the average/max level then all of a sudden the exp gets changed and I take 2 days off and everyone is 20-30 levels higher than me in new gear that comes out every two weeks.

Another incentive to actually play the game, but still have that afk feature for those that may want it.

Sometimes the auto battle is decent if you need to quickly nip out, put kids to bed etc. Means you don't have to TT/Log and can still keep levelling. Albeit at a risk.

I really liked the feature on OS, but I honestly never played the game. Loaded it up, set it to auto play and watched TV or played on the PS5.

Not a bad call to be fair, both means people aren't bleeding pots on it, but also cant get the benefits (its both a positive and negative)
Will definitely take this to the table for the system!

ABattle is also being used for us to test live scenarios for lvling speeds n such.

Ultimately we wanted Auto-Battle as we've had a lot of people asking about it, but it provides negatives (such as you will run out of gold as you dont get items/gold when it's turned on).
- also it can't be used in KRs (and other day restricted/time limited areas)

You aren't immune to PvP either when on auto battle, so it gives some people easy targets :D



The concept may not appeal to you but if you are wanting to play, you would always be playing at an advantage when at your keyboard, its just an additional feature there.

I guess I would say, wait until beta, play it out, feedback to us and we are never shy of changing/altering things :)
Then just keep it as a dev tool, You want it but players don't. Put it to a poll and let the player base decide.

50% exp gain fine but not picking up gold or items is meaningless there hasn't been a server for over a decade that hasn't had an issue with gold amounts. PVP enabled during it is also a none issue just set a bot to watch hp and rt/tt at 50%.

So when enough people are basically cheating we should just make it a feature rather than punish people and put a stop to it great idea (y) lazy greedy gms are the problem. Its not hard to stop but those same players line the pockets so they have been left to get away with it for so long its become accepted. Its macroing, and its not the easiest to detect.

I have put it in as it was requested by a decent amount of people, we've put drawbacks into it as well.

If you auto to the cap solely, you will probably never get to cap; or if you do you will be way behind from all the other features we have that you can't auto through.

If you are auto playing and not picking up items and gold, you will run out of gold, pots, not working on your codex, missing out on other drops, getting pked among them.

Yeah we are well under way with coding the last big feature, I am away for a week (as is Chris) so will be quiet for a week, but then should be able to really push the last bits of progress we need for the beta :)
