Vaguely remember doing this with babelfish in school.

College has got a much tougher system (Novell based) even blocking http proxy sites now :/

its hardly vital, and most decent filters will do content-filtering aswell.

Just find yourself a cgi proxy or so that has https support (note the s) and encrypted urls and you can get past the content-filtering (the proxy cant examine https traffic and url matching filters (encrypted URLs wont match anything ;))

Indeed, the Novell BorderManager sucks anus. I have it at work.

Data most of these proxys are blocked by websense infact anything with the word proxy in is banned. This method helped me after being frustrated with WS.


P.S it was not like the thread title was misleading people could read the title and then if they have websense at school or college they could decide how vital it is.

MrRob: do what i did to get round that, setup your own, and rename the file from proxy.cgi to somamt else, works perfectly :P
