Hi. Does Anyone Know Where I Can Download Windows XP Service Pack 1, Please? I have gone to the windows website to do a check for wot stuff i need, but windows xp service pack 1 does not come up, and i really need that. Thank you!!

If you've ran windows update and SP1 files dont appear then u dont need sp1 surely

Naa, i aint got it... I am trying to install a driver i have on my pc, and its asking for windows xp service pack 1 to be installed...

I downloaded Windows XP Service Pack 1, installed it, but it said failed corrupt... i tried to download it 3 times now... same thing. Anyone know where else to download XP SErvice pack 1??

i have it on a cd but i cant send u it as ime on 56k :S

You don't need sp1(a) for that... and sp1a install messing up? You got a legal version? And what's the error.

Nope actually SP2 fixes the holes service pack 1 left behind and opened.

Either have no service packs at all or get both.

Yes but actually i think ther cant b a completely secure system coz hackers will find a backdoor its just a matter of time ...

so thats why they released the service pack to prevent/make it harder for it to happen and when hackers find a way thru that one theyll probbaly release anuther.

Its just like anti virus and anti cheat products they always need updating to stay ahead of the ****ers.

i think hackers stay ahead of the software companys always same wiw viruses as an update is released good mofos who are making viruses find a way of bypassing it ...
