Well I will state the obious - the router is 54mbit and the PCMCIA card is 108 - dont see a problem apart from the slower speed of course (max you can g is 54 - not 108mbit). I have connected all sorts of wireless card to a vast collection of wireless routers and never had one yet which never worked, only tricky bit was WEP / WPA encrytion if you do that sort of thing

Get a netgear router.

It's an unwritten law that components from the same manufacturer work better together.

Linksys Wireless Router with two Belkin Wireless cards and they work perfectly together

Get th netgear 108, definitely worth the money :)

Like SA said, it would be a lot easier on the enduser to get 2 components from the same company. While 2 seperate company's products could and have worked, sometimes you save yourself the hassle. From personal experience, Linksys doesn't always like netgear security :(

Aye, i've got a Belkin PCI 54g adaptor for my PC, and it won't go above 11mbps, even though my WAP is a Netgear 802.11g 54mpbs WAP ;)

Remember though, that when you buy this stuff, you're buying into a name. Which basically means, you'll be locked into their equipment in the future, unless you upgrade your whole network at the same time.

I personally prefer NetGear networking gear over all else. The price is good, and the performance is excellent.

I use a linksys wap with a Centrino, no problems there - the centrino seems to get on with everything.

My mercury pcmcia card for my old pos laptop seems to work well with the linksys.

My mercury switch also seems to work well, performance if really good, and it was quite cheap. I would prefer to get netgear, but i have a limited budget for networking kit. Altho, the netgear hub i have is twice as big as the mercury swithc, and twice as heavy, so the mercury stuff is more useful for my small space.
