Wont delete ;[

hiyah all, ive tryed delete'in some files in 'Documants and Settings' but it wont work heres some sceenies to show you what i mean, if any one can tell me why , pleaseee tell me ;P thx :mooned:

make sure the whole of the aplication is closed. Goto CTRL + ALT + DEL then goto the processes tab look for the aplication high light it then click end now. Or you could try rebooting your pc then soon as its loaded up try then as the aplication may not auto open.

tryed all that mate, that file was the very first user i used when i first used my comp, and i havnet been able to delete it since:S

Well heres a try Start -> Run -> MSConfig -> Services -> Untick Limewire -> Start up -> Untick limewire -> Save -> Restart Comp -> Try delete it again

Since you don't seem able to find the process responsible, I suggest you use this.

Once installed, right click the file and select 'Unlocker' - which will offer to delete the file.

I dont think its lime wire lol i agree though it did confuse me with the screenie named "lime" ect ect.. erm i dont see how this is happening but good luck with sorting it is it important to delete it if not why bother lol>

Stredder? Shredder you mean, and aren't they mainly used to delete data permanently by overwriting it with zeros? That wouldn't help if the OS won't let you overwrite the data though :P.

What are you logged in as? Kev? Paul?

First of all, if you are not admin, you can't access other people's folder.
If you are logged in as Administrator, you can try this...
Let say you are deleting "Kev" for example...
Right click My Computer properties->Advanced->User Profiles Settings
Delete the user Kev.

If Kev doesn't exist there, and you really want to delete that folder...
As admin... you can...
run CMD
type
CACLS "D:\Documents and Settings\Kev" /T /G Everyone:F
DEL /F /S "D:\Documents and Settings\Kev"

you can't delete kev folder if you are using it. it is your profile folder.
