Some good feedback. Looking forward to giving this a try on live, if it's half as exciting as it's sounding it should keep my interest!

Very much enjoyed Omni's post, very descriptive.

One question I do have, is the run to EM still a pain in the ass 40min run? Or has this been changed also, because as Omni mentioned "why go to EM when you can to X place", I've always liked EM as a top tier boss, but the journey to it made it somewhat unbearable and almost pointless.

Regarding EM I don't know if his journey setting has been changed, but afaik he remains the same, but as ever his lure is still there being that hes the only mob in the game that can drop the mir set.

I'd just like to see something different, perhaps after entering the node it's a corridor (think after KS room in BDD) type room, packed with omas etc. Can't rt, have to kill. Something that, if it is going to take 40minutes, gives a challenge, some exp, smashes pots and dura etc. Maybe, that would be worse but just something different than a plain 30-40min run.

I hope by launch of server as promised the website will be full of info regarding:

1) Spells and what EXACTLY they do (aka tdb does 2hits 1.2xDC each)
2) Caves and their aimed lvls and how to get to (perhaps this could be avoided but we need some info for caves so that beta testers dont have an advantage at least)
3) Items and their stats.

I understand that certain ppl will say that this will ruin the whole exploring and finding out things yourself part but at least for spells since a lot of them are new, since on these files even the old spells work in a different way, personnally i dont want to explore my class till lvl50 only to find out there is a class that does the same things better. if someone wants to play blindly and explore the server on his own he can always dodge the website right?

Other than vital info like secret/long quests or drop files etc there is no reason at all to keep things unrevealed and that would be the best advertisement of your server.

I'd happily tell everyone the best places to hunt on launch, but to be honest, we've done half hour in one cave, half hour at a boss here and there getting teled and recalled around, we've not done 6 hour grinds in one place, and after 6 days I honestly have no idea which cave is better for the start of live, that's the point. The drop files aren't in yet so we don't know where to camp to get that specific item, and the exp rates are yet to be changed. WE HAVE NO REAL ADVANTAGE other than where caves are, which anyone can find out by pressing "B" and exploring for half an hour.

Regarding the classes, it's like any game, Warriors tank and high 1 hit damage, Taos support/heal/versatile pvp, wizards good aoe, slow boss killing but capable wall killing higher bosses, good in pvp but can get killed quickly if caught, Assassin can sneak around invisible, good for sub/boss killing, high sustained damage good for levelling, lower hp/defence than warr so less tanky, hunter seems kinda utility/ranged single target damage, slow arrow, damage over time spells, their summoned pet companions for tanking/damage dealing/whatever, and they can sorta-backflip.

They're not bothering posting this info yet as every man and his dog knows the classes inside out. The difference with this one is they're balanced, no one-shotting people, no wizards being ****, no MC 22-22 buffs with no cooldown. The team developing this server actually have a brain, and want to release the server as soon as.

Summary: They're not keeping it revealed, they're trying to get the server sorted first, stuff like that will be out after live. Pick a class you enjoy and suits your playstyle, then make it work, no good group has EVER been the greatest, be it pvping or boss hunting, without at least 1 of every class :)

Couldn't agree more, even a room full of bugbats you have to BA and TS your way through for 30mins would be more interesting than bloody running it. Maybe walls you have to break down as a group, like mining through a collapsed tunnel :P

I dont agree with that. Its too generic for me and hopefully that wont be their answer regarding what classes do before launch.

I have played mir for way too long to be satisfied with an answer like that from a server team that used to actually play mir not long ago. Thats an answer Samuel would give.

Class balance is way more complicated than "warriors tank" "wizzies aoe" and "taos support" ****. Every class must be able to win every other class as long as there is similar kit. Else we end-up to the usual retarded comments "sins shouldnt toe to toe a warrior" (because obviously they have a different approach than melee im not aware off) or with ranged classes 1 being simply better than the others (for example archer winning both vs wiz/tao no matter what or the other way arround).

So yes we do know the basics of each class and that they will be similar to the rest servers but the actual carrying out of THEIR balance is what interests me. He could make sins for example have a spell with cooldown (assasinate?) and make em play arround it while fighting a warrior aka going in and out when spell on cooldown or do it the other way arround with warriors playing arround FS cooldown.

Also 1/2hitting ppl isnt a bad or a good thing. Its a preference. There are ppl that enjoy fast fights that punish mistakes (obviously that applies to all classes so all should hit like a truck) and there are ppl that like 10minute fights that basicly end when someone is out of pots.

P.S. this team are nothing like Sam, they admit when they're wrong, ask for feedback and actually listen to it and aren't money-grubbing liars. I've played around 30 servers since 2001 and I'm saying, along with other testers, that it's balanced; if you need more proof wait for live.

From what I have seen so far I am looking forward to playing this Server. Always been a Wizard, and a leveler so im looking for corrected cast times as Chronicles messed this up big time and stopped me playing. Also having the chance of drops from grinding not just the camped boss. so far a big thumbs up from me after watching the streams.

chron is ****. this is custom few bugs yeah been fixed. the 3 gms have worked all time and even with spell damage bugs. fixed quick. new maps bosses i aint even killed before or seen. you will like it. /luke

The issues don't come out until a few months down the line, when the server runners are fed up with all the negative bullshit and just stop replying to cries.
This is the real test of a server, people can create something amazing and release it, but it still isn't enough... people can promise but things change, people change.
Sure it all looks good now... and it does, it looks decent. But from playing mir for so long, releasing a server is the easy part. Maintaining a server is the hard part.
I could go into the attitudes of certain people connected to the project, but i'll just wait and see how it plays out.

For now it looks amazing. :)

I just think you have a mistaken identity as your going on the fact you think you have heard my voice simply from watching the Beta Draw, Seems a little naive no?

Do you have the 4 best looking wing armors in mir3(and probably in any mir) added? Talking about the winged armors for each class (war/wiz/tao in mir3) and the double dragon head winged armor?

I would definitely recommend this game, the content is phenomenal and maps are without a doubt amazing.
Although there's still lots of bugs this server will be great.
I personally am loving this sever so far, but I don't know if I am going to be playing yet, I can get bored of mir easy.
And I don't have a lot of Mir frands, so I get bored of soloing but I will probably play this on and off!
Overall I am liking it.

Also, the Gm's are pretty nice lol :)

Not currently, we do have the mir 3 glows coded in. I could probably look at getting them coded into the server but i'm not sure if we will use them in game.
