Remove trick shot and make it base line, no damage loss. The single most infuriating part of playing the class is the constant misses due to invisible walls, bugged squares and whatever else that ****s up LOS. It's **** that hunters have to suffer damage loss so often due to bugged maps and squares.

I agree with this to some extent.... but most the spells.... if you've used them properly don't have a damage reduction on trick shot mode ;).

This applies to Taos too, as much as these guys dont need improving its infuriating not being able to land a SFB purely because theres a stick in the way.... like literally a fcking stick.. LoL

The targetting in general on here feels alot different to other servers, and whats with no bag lock?

just make everything fire over walls but for archer and taoist projectiles have some reduced damage mod, can the system indentify if it's going over a wall?

Having scenery blocking shots is just ridiculous by todays standards and a part of old/unfinished Mir, imagine just about losing a pvp fight because your tao/archer missed like 3 shots in a row because of ye...the stick in the ground.

it makes killing anything over a wall 100% more difficult and we end up becoming a one skill class (electricshot.)

Getting really pissed off at this shitty class...

im so glad i reroll archer to wizz.. Im not worring about missing hit! But to be fair yeah this is the main reason i gave up playing archer.
Constant missing atak on pvp and PVE due to wall stone shits ....
Specialy in pvp when sombdy run fast, 90% of hits misses regardless of having wall stone shits, while as a wizz dosnt mater u run fast or slow if sombdy cast FD thunderbolt or other AOE skill it land 100% anyway

I Agree to all the above.

For me the Click attack is the thing that i hate. You want the damage from it but it doesn't allow for the movement that you need as an archer and without mobs getting stunned on hit it is really hard to target things without clicking on them. Especially windminotors. I would just have it skills based with slight faster attacks to make up for not having the regular click attack. (not that it does great damage)

I'm finding pets either no good at agro, they get in the way or split the group of mobs. I found going attack all and using the pet as a bounce for static actually a more beneficial way of using the pet. due to the short distance of static and the pet splitting the mobs.

If pets could hold mobs with built in agro skills and not die super quick both the above problems wouldn't be problems. (also think the pets need to move a bit faster).

Could really do with an Aoe that doesn't require a target. Maybe something like Delayed explosion could hit the point on the floor without the delay of explosion. change it to explosive arrow maybe.

Something needs working out as archers feel a bit like Tao with no healing and less pets.

It's definitely something that needs looked into, I play a tao and tested archer as well but I can see the problems from both sides, some of the objects are unclear, I can see it missing where an obvious object is in the way blocking realistic line of sight but it's balls at the moment.

+1 to this.

Agree with all @Baku points too, pretty much what I mentioned in the other post about archers/hunters... just keep with 1 class name too. Archer lol.

Any chance of some GM/dev input? Seems to be a change the entire thread agrees with and shouldn't be overly difficult to implement

We have replied on other threads about archers.

With regards to bugged maps, i have spent 3 hours looking through this, and its not true at all. we have found a couple of maps that needing some attribute changes and im sure there will be a few more.

Here is an example of PastBichon, where im told its the worst:

The attributes on the map are of objects, like a tao, your spells cant shoot through them. If you shoot an arrow from your bow you will hit the object in front of you, similarly to a tao throwing an amulet. Wizards do get the advantage with stuff like this, as their spells are called down from the sky (if you will). This is how mir has always been.

I had been given tons of reports of buggy maps and actually only a small % were buggy, the rest were un happy hunters! This unfortunately is the way its supposed to be.

I have also created a video below of Hunters damage with and without trickshot below the screenshot, i think again this is very good still. Once a hunter gets napalm shot/cursed arrow/ OnewithNature i can see hunters being the strongest class on the game.

So you've spent 3 hours on a hunter and decided that all hunters in this thread are lying and just unhappy hunters? There's a reason Hunters are so massively unrepresented in the Rankings, if you cant see there are issues from what people are telling you here then perhaps you will see them from the stats below (Taken from the website Rankings page):

22 40+ Assasins
24 40+ Warriors
27 40+ Wizards
17 40+ Taos
....
...
..
.
5 40+ Hunters

Says it all really.

I can tell you there are a substantial amount less hunters selected to play. Thats simply because of the amount of mir players who like what they like. Most players choose Warrior/Wizz/Tao. Assassins is also a well picked class simply because it came into the game a long time before the hunter.

Also i said about the maps. Not that hunters are wrong about their class, a huge difference:

i had been given tons of reports of buggy maps and actually only a small % were buggy, the rest were un happy hunters! This unfortunately is the way its supposed to be.

Strange how there appeared to be far more hunters around at the start of the server than there are around now if your "simple" reason is correct.

"the rest were un happy hunters! This unfortunately is the way its supposed to be."

So you are content with us just being unhappy with how you designed the class, is that correct?

Let me make it simple, are quality of life changes(not necessarily buffs) coming for hunters? Because its starting to feel like a waste of effort if this is how you envision the class remaining.

You just literally cut the comment in half and made a sentence that changed the meaning, the map reports where from hunters unhappy about not being able to shoot through trees. When you do things like this, you prove to either not read my responses, or ignore them, meaning its hard for me to take your feedback as a constructive one or just someone who wants his class to be better?

From experimenting with hunters i find them one of, if not the strongest class in the game.

Considerations:
  1. Dont try and shoot through things.
  2. Despite the fact Hunters dont kill as fast as a melee, they can surly kill most classes in 1v1 pvp.
  3. Hunters have a pet that can hit as hard as its spells.
  4. At this level you dont have your best spells.
