Lol i know this is really out of subject, but i find driving fast, the same as smoking. Do it too much and your dead, your also paying to kill yourself... who would find THAT cool? (no offence to smokers, but its true)

Smokers are ****ing mongs, they deserve all the offence they get. Everyone starts smoking because its "cool" its been that way ever since tobacco came to the UK, the first people smoked because it was "new and different" from there it became a fashion.

People who speed cannot use the excuse "it was a laugh on the way home" the thing is, it only takes that one time to have the unfortunate circumstances and your ****ed. Especially when you go out and do it on your first time out, i break the speed limit all the time, but not to excess, ive done 85mph on the motorway coming back from liverpool at 3am. The thing is after about a month of driving, you make like twice the progress you will have done from your lessons, you know your car, and how well it responds, at which point you can take advantage of it.

F1 cars are ultra tuned performance machines, and the drivers are the top racing drivers in the world, but even they make mistakes.

yer true atom, still though when you hit the 120mph+ point in a normal car it feels like its gonna split into pieces.

its a weird system so don't count on it. Doing 35mph in a 30 is less likely to get you points than doing 75 in a 70. The simple reason is, despite the fact your speeding by the same amount, you have more control over the car at 35 than you would at 75.

However, that said, should you be unfortunate enough to cause an accident, via any means (even if your in the limit) anytime soon, you could be branded as uninsurable. A girl at my college who I would have accused of sleeping with her eximaner to get passed (had she not looked like an ogre) crashed twice within a month of passing, and was told she wouldn't get insured again untill she turned 21, giving her an effective 3 year ban.

Btw you get let off with 10% of the limit:

30 limit = let off of about 3 mph
40 limit = let off about 4 mph
70 limit = let off about 7 mph

Wouldnt push it though.

Yes.
If caught doing 100 miles an hour or more it is a straight ban.

80 is the fastest i would do on a dual carriageway and in 30/40 zones i do 30/40.

2fast you sound like a right tard. Youve had your license what two days and already your driving like a complete tard.

If im doing 30 and some **** comes up behind my car at 60 i slow down and dont let the bugger overtake me. He can go 15miles an hour at the end of the day its his fault for being a ****.

I have a citroen c3 2002 1.4 hdi diesel btw.

13 minors on mine but passed first time. Ive been driving almost 3 years now :/ I even have a no claims bonus lol. If you havent been out in the car yet then be forewarned: its a realyl weird and strange feeling the first time you go out in a car on your own, or at least it was for me, because you don't have someone in the car with you commenting on what your doing etc.
I have 1 years no claims atm, and i know exactly what you mean about the weirdness. Took me about a week to get used to it.

Driving instructor said i rushed my test but i had excellent control of the car so he passed me, i drive like a crazy person 0.o
My first test was bout 3 months too early, but i wanted to try before last xmas, shouldn't ahve done it really.

My car is only a T-Reg 1.3 Micra. Most i can get from it is 115mph, and thats downhill on the M6 Toll, after about 10 mins of foot to the floor, otherwise it seems to crap out at 105 or so. It climbs up to 80 nicely, then 80-90 is a little slower, 90-100 slower still, 100+ very slow.

2F2F: I Seriously reccomend you take more care when driving. Having to cut in front of a car to get of the dual carrageway is just bad forward planning and general driving.
You shouldn't be driving at spped anyways, especially in the cold when the raods could be icy, or so close to passing your test.

I personally drove better alone, but it does feel a little strange.

117 tops sounds about right in a Club, thats the same as my brothers.

Stone, what type of astra is your dads? Could be the reason hes has it faster than the one i qouted.

I dont understand why he would have been giving way to you. If you were going the same way, you would have been on his left, and not interacting in anyway. If he was going across the front of you, and turing into your street, then your light would have been red.

When people come up fast behind me, I slow right down getting slower and slower, eventually most get the hint, and back off, either that, or when an overtaking opportunity comes up, I speed up so they miss it. Rinse and repeat and they either learn, or have an exciting journey of slowing down and speeding up.
