That's fair. In the same breathe, I think Chronicles missed an opportunity to tap into that - not through the fault of Sam or anyone else, but because it would have been a bigger exercise than just working with the files.

Lots of different types of players out there, cater for as many as you can, on different servers. You'd probably need 6x Sams, and that's unfair. And just an opinion.

U mixed the real life with a game. For sure. Dont be stupid dude. U can not avoid the real life but ppl can choose any game. The player count on this server already showed that ppl vote by leaving or staying. Pay to win a game can only prove that ur a looser in real life cos u wish to prove in a game that ur a not a losser! A pay to win game will die quick. And then left those who think they paid to win this game. WOW had last for more than 10 years and still a lot of ppl playing it. Blizzard earn the respect of running a good game. They do know how to balance.

Causal players will choose a server to play. They will contribute money to keep a server up but it need to be proved that the server is worth to pay.

With the drop file, ppl are leaving. They leaving cos they dont enjoy it. I m leaving also if the drop file wont change in the mean time. No fun to play with ppl who Pay to Win a game. Paying a lot of money to gain a advantage in a game will let the game less fun. I played WOW for many years and contribute fairly amount of money. WOW offered different way of playing to different class of players and ppl cant gain advantage just cos they pay.

For sure, u dont know how to do a good business. So dont call urself a successful person. It will be another joke.

You can not stop Pay 2 win in a capitalist society, even on MMORPG, or any game/aspect of LIFE for that matter, money always talks, It will buy you the best charecter in a game, unlimited virtual gold, the best computer and internet connection, Rich people even have better looking wifes, healthier children, better education, need i go on?

Merely pointing out that crying about a game being P2 Win is pointless, as you can not stop it, People with wealth will always buy, and poor people will always sell regardless if its against the T&C's, frowned upon, or carrys a death sentance.
If it's not legal, a black market will appear, regardless of how you do it, or in what context this is in, desirable goods/services will always be sold and bought.


Come back when you can learn to read.


Also, being rich and being famous are two completely different things, and the two do not come hand in hand, most of the worlds wealthiest people you've never heard off, Theirs 1,011 billionaires in the world (Offically, not to mention un-offically) Guarenteed you could only name a handful.


Also, on a seperate note, everyone would be happier with more money, being rich gives you the time/opportunity to persue real happiness, instead of wasting 50% of your life working to survive.

It unbalances the game if it hasn't been designed with the thought that everyone will have the high tier skills. The difference with a group with say 5 warriors without lvl 3 rage and a group with it is huge. Same goes for high level wiz/tao skills.

But that's the thing guys. Everyone is going to complain to the high heavens if these skills are going to be as powerful as you lot expect them to be. So they will need re-tuning as soon as they drop.

Give them to everyone and tune it accordingly. Rage isn't really a skill that requires any balancing so it's not a great example. Something like meterstrike or curse are far better examples.

I do think this game will last a lot longer if all skills are obtainable once you reach the level required. Not many people are going to stick around if they are 10+ levels past their next skill and still don't have it.

If every tao had curse & poison cloud, every wizard had FF/blizzard and every sin had swift feet/shadow step the game would be horrible and numbers would prevail even more than they do now (thanks reincarnation).

Its clear from the poll results that at least the high level books won't be making an entrance into the shops in the short term which is cool, however I still think adjusting the drops is the only way forward to bring a positive effect for everyone on such a split decision.

There are many people on this forum who you shouldn't listen to Sam and only vote what is best for them without seeing the overall picture, there is also many people who are just clueless and don't think of what the effects would be if everyone had all the skills instantly, then there are people who are just opting for the lazy option too. It must be difficult to make decisions based on recent polls but you have to remember that you are in charge along with your server team, show some leadership and keep aiming towards how you visioned your server to be, these polls shouldn't determine how the game is set out but more to provide you a guideline.

The negativity on the forums with people claiming 200 user count isn't good for the server, last night you peaked at 400 which is still FAR higher than any private server I know of, I still run into fights regularly in caves and still have fun with my mir friends hunting. All in all cheers for the fun server which you have obviously spent many hours creating - aimed at all the team.

I get your point but do understand under wealth is also happiness. living without much money can make you happy but having more money takes off alot off stress and can let you focus more on your kids maybe even work less so you can spend more time with your family our so that your wife doesn't have to work. having money is essential in multiple ways and using money to gate the fact that you're bad at gaming or lack time has been something that has existed since the creation of games and not even in the virtual world. denying the fact that money is important factor and one of the leading factors in happiness is a childish and stupid thing to say. Yes, people kill themselves even when they're rich but there alot more suicides among people with lower incomes then higher incomes by % it's just that the people with higher incomes are mostly famous and they will make the news where the dozens of poor/below average people will not be looked back on by the community once a while you see something in the newspaper about some girl or guy suiciding next week they're already forgotten.

Isn't the expectation that the odd players with the most-bestest skills, get the skills on the basis of things they've done in-game ? i.e. I kill BadAssMob, and happen to be one of a small group - of which exists other small groups - wouldn't it be more fitting that because of the achievement, you get the KillAll skill ? and those who don't manage to get the kill until they're a higher level than I was... then so be it ?

If ZT drops lvl35+ skills, or real WEBs/ES drop lvl30+ skills... then go kill em. If you don't kill them til you're lvl40, I'm not so sure the lvl30+ player who gets to should have that side of the game taken away. The challenge that is.

Eventually the small groups would have enough skills for themselves and end up trickling them down to other players earlier, who can't get to the kill, be it from sale or cos they're mates.

Only this game isn't based on that fact it's based on playing as much as you can and you don't even need to be good to kill it.

If you sk me i'd want bosses that are hard as **** and require tons of teamwork to kill with special effects where you have to stand in bubbles with your grp etc to survive the boss like in raids and tkes like 30 minutes to kill also boss should puri himself and heal up quite fast and once you actually kill it it drops quite nice not kill it 100 times to get some decent drop but easy as ****.
