What I have noticed playing a warr and sin. Is lower ac / level mobs sins seem to kill quicker. The higher ac / level mobs warrs seem to kill either quicker or same speed.
BDD is a fine example. When I go with a warr same level and same level weap. We either kill same speed, or 1 of us will killer qucker. Sins are meant to be low ac / hp fast killing. I think brining back 1.5 FD for just sins might help this.
But I also think when sins start getting some high dc they will rape. The problem atm is proberly poor kit / dc as low dc makes it harder to hit these higher AC mobs.
Anothing thing would be increase fatal sword chance. This could imrpove our single target dps that this class is meant to excel in.

Aaaand again same thread. I dnt even had to make it. Administration still dnt see assassin got 2 low dmg.

Sorry forgot to say also.
Sins at bosses also become tanks. Due to our a-Speed we take massive aggro meaning mobs target us over warriors.

1.5 poison damage gained a sin 20% more damage over 1 minute. This is down to cast times and pro crates.

now its 1.2 sins deal less damage or the same damage without using flash dash over the 1 minute test.


Although what your saying should be correct but the aspeed factors make it different.

I did lots of tests luck 7 kit, luck 1,shop kit, but the test that basically made me quit was without haste. The warrior and sin had the same kit. 26 weps, the sin was so far behind in damage terms I couldn't see any point carrying on. Getting speed 8 on a warrior when gems come into game will make the warrior the fastest killing hardest hitting class ingame.

I think this thread hits some important points. It really should never be a contest between sin's and any other class for single target damage, low hp and defenses and needs to be in mellee range to do damage, with no effective aoe. Balance should not be dictated based on "there are some lk 7 sins and they hit hard," this argument falls apart if not compared to what a warrior or archer would hit like with luck 7 and the best kit in game also. Bearing in mind that luck can also be more beneficial for some classes over others, for example with higher dc due to weps and a skill that pierces ac a warrior with no luck will be better than a sin with no luck.

There are a number of places this could be tweaked:
1)moonlight: on the mirchronicles webside this spell is supposed to increase damage while hidden. It currently does not do this and this would be a place where you could tweak damage and retain the style of the class. ie. while hidden sin damage ignores all AC
2)poison sword:bring something into this skill
3)increase the damage done by flash dash(so its not such a loss of dps to try and use it for yellow poison, but not strong enough that it replaces double slash as the primary damage dealing skill)
4)increase double slash damage ratio

Let's not forget sins have high accuracy on here. In previous servers, you've had to lose DC in able to put more ACC on kit. You've also had a HP boost?

Yes but cant compare to other servers. Flash dash works completely different. Attack speed is a lot lower, I had speed 20+ on usa. I would love to see speed a little higher here as warrs can hit as fastas sins if they wear gales. Sins just seem a little lost atm.

This makes no difference, everything is different than previous servers. Hp boost, yes it happened but its still a far cry from official server. ACC yes it is different but skills are also different so again it is a moot point. The point made in the OP still stands.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading through everyones posts and opinions on the Assassin class, and there are some very strong points.

With what ziiid said, if MoonLight ignored AC it would be excellent for PvE and not at all overpowered for PvP (IMO), because mobility is a key factor as a melee when PvPing and if you can't run you can't do much. The only way this would benefit in PvP was when Toe to Toeing another melee character.

This also being said, with Mobility involved, Assassins no longer have the "Dash" part to "FlashDash", it doesn't automatically run us ahead giving us chance to escape when being targetted by Archers/Wizzys/Taoists because we are forced to just walk in hopes that they miss an attack.
Of course this part is a little off topic.

But with a few more points being said here:
1. Poison Sword - This would be great for some small AoE DPS on an Assassin if it did more damage, currently it's purely just a regain stopper. (If that's what was intendid then it's doing it's job perfectly)
2. Moon Light - If this did cut through all AC then Assassins would have an edge over Warriors in PvE without massively impacting PvP. But this is debatable!
3. Double Slash - This should be left alone in my opinion, I believe if DoubleSlash was improved it'd massively imbalance the class as it's the key move that always deals damage.
4. Flash Dash - Massively weak as agree'd by most people on this thread.

This server is excellent in the sense that people can actually have a mature discussion about such things, and gives me high hopes for it's community tbh. There'll always be the odd troll or two, but this is good. I like it.

I agree, I don't even play an assassin primarily but I regularly hunt with one and in the higher level caves they just can't keep up with my damage (and I'm an archer, warriors can kill even quicker than me 1v1 as long as they can survive). The numbers on higher mobs are so low due to all the damage reductions that hitting quickly at low damage (that can't cut AC) just isn't working in the way I feel it did on GamePot (even though that was a pile of crap :-P but it was a pile of crap I expected sins to be based on).

I really Shane has a point that when a. speed items come in it will nullify the sin class from a PvE perspective at least in favour of the warrior. Don't get me wrong, i'm sure there will be players but the serious high levels may end up going the way of Shane/Jamie and just stop playing which is really demotivating for the lower players getting there if they are concerned about the class being restricted. If you could do good damage, have a double hit multiplier and have one of those hits ignore defences (a hugely significant skill in the higher areas).

I can't suggest a damage change fix as I don't know one, but I just wanted to add my thoughts that one is overdue, I stopped playing my Sin once I'd got to the point the warriors were killing at the same speed as I felt I had too many restrictions on me in the higher level areas. Had to worry about survivng while seeing low numbers even when hitting higher end DC (granted, my kit wasn't special), felt like was designed to cut through PSC at a fast rate but couldn't really move on until you had better than the kit was freely available at the time. The best I could imagine was moving to PastBichon or more likely Vipers but no further.

Its same when hit armored warior. 10-30 hits its max vs AC kit warior and how the fk im suposed to kill tht tank with 700 or more hp ?

I think it's right that for sins to struggle 1v1 with a warrior, warriors also struggle with acc issues.

Don't talk crap, i still miss a fair amount of hits on warrior in sharpbracelets on alot of bosses and even some normal mobs in orcs etc.. and secondly what warrior goes round in full ac kit unless leveling in certain area's? and even then its questionable...

Sins have more natural accuracy than warrior and way more agility.

I have dc72 luck+2 on my sin. I've not seen anyone that kills ingame as fast cept potato currently and tori/tash due to luck 7 blades. They may be more consistent but I fatal for over 200 and hit doubles for up to 108 or so with yellow.

Sins kill faster always have always will with the addition of poison sword and extra dmg their very good. Try running around with dc63 agil 31 if you ever can you will lawl.

Not a relevent comparison, need a warrior with a good kit and a SOWG to compare too, and the luck 7 has already been mentioned in this thread. The argument "the class can do ok damage with amazing gear" doesn't solve the problem in the OP...Turns out every class (maybe with the exception of tao's) could make the same claim, in fact if the problem is there at lower gear levels there is a good chance it could be there, if not worse, at higher gear levels. Sorta an apple and orange comparison.

Even before I killed just as fast if not faster than JB with a mace.

Fact is sins are probably the most expensive class to kit but most useful. Obv war more expensive cause of all the noobs that need 1k+ hp to survive.

Exactly this, people keep comparing the class to 3 players? What's a warrior going to be like with a sowg few speed items and bit of luck... Will totally obliterate a sin as they do now. And sins do miss a lot when it comes to bosses more then wars, I see wars same lvl as me probs 5-8dc (around 45-50) more kill an KS, iwt, KH, izt a lot quicker then I can..
