Ideas:
- shop npc's teleport randomly every 60 seconds within a 3x3 grid. 1/9 chances of botter actually clicking the npc
- Random Q's every 5/6 times a npc is use, if correct you can use shop, if incorrect 1hour
Just banned a load of them and all accounts linked to them so lets see who is the first to make a post asking why they have been banned

I agree - name and shame. With anonymity, people will just keep doing this. Please, for the love of god, don't do an 'Alaria' though

That's hilarious, I done the same thing but tried to block the path to serpant valley, low and behold the bots just took a different route lol
Easy fix for them selling items to shop. Remove external doors and make them only accessible via npc

Pretty sure that if the bots are programmed to run specific places, it would be even easier to program them to click npcs .. there are quite a few good suggestions in this thread tho, let's hope something is implemented soon

Not really as 90% of them have been banned in the last few hours
I can see a list of online players and right now nearly all of them are real players moving around the server
I hate when people post rubbish like this when they do not have any facts

Gold is 3/4 pounds a million, you cant blame players willing to spend that rather than hunt for there own....time is money

The bot flagging program is doing what it is program to do and flagging them.
Sorry for being busy fixing bugs and missing a few bots, **** happens.
They came back faster, harder and upgraded in the last few days and have nearly all been banned again.
There are now plans to upgrade the anti bot system to auto kick and ban any accounts it finds.

I play/played FFXIV Online there for a while and Gold Seller Chat spam was always a big issue. I'd see the same spammers sitting in towns for days. I guess my point is if a Massive Company like Square Enix can struggle with bots then a little private server is gonna have it 10 times worse. The guys who run the bots are persistent and clever, you detect them and they just get smarter. All you can do is keep trying.
This but for whatever reason some of you seem to not understand that this is a private server with a team of 2 people.
