Really hope for an event rather than a double exp week, either are nice, but events tend to be more fun and interesting, and fun is good :D

I'm curious which sub-38 caves are slated to have the bonus xp in.

All of them from what I recall BH posting. You get a bonus (maybe a buff?) while in them, the EXP the mobs give isn't changing.

Morning all

So soon you will all be able to visit Hell

Do not hold me to this but there maybe some exp pots or exp event in order to help players gain the levels they need.

The Chronicles Team

I’m not sure I understand the idea behind this.
Why not just reduce the entry level to a more acceptable 40/43?

It seems a little backward to offer exp event/potions so that people can get into hell when you could just let them in anyway without increasing the gap between casual players and "hardcore" players.

If there is an exp event I may squeeze in an extra hour as a casual player, the "hardcore" will and do, put in an all dayer/2dayer / all weeker.

I do hope it’s the potion option if any as the casual player will still be able to get the same amount of exp uptime as the "hardcore" player.
If you go with the exp boost via mobs not potions for a set time then you are not taken anything the casual community have mentioned seriously.
try and avoid alienating the casual player and provide equal benefits to both sets not just the young/single/unemployed, dont forget us the working, middle aged family man/woman.

The issue is that the hardcore players always get more of an advantage cause they put more time into it and time is worth something.
I get that you want to be equally rewarded as a casual player but people should also be rewarded for putting more time into it for example hunting for certain items from event's the person that would put more time in it should be rewarded better then you the one play plays 1/2 hours a day.

Eventually casual players already received an advantage over the hardcore players cause hardcore players won't be below 38 nowadays unless they reroll.

Thus even though I can understand you point, it still is not justified.

i dont like the idea of a level cap either. but as we saw on Ace it was needed wizzies where levelling upto level 55 and that server wasnt up long enough to justify that.

if you are going to use a level cap there is only one reason - you dont want people to get so high level. that being said recalculating the exp and then allowing the people that have already levelled past the soft cap to gains levels as if the soft cap has not been in place just defeats the purpose of the soft cap.

if its in use it properly.

everyone who is above 43 only levelled past 43 because they knew they would get extra levels or % once they where recalculated apparently. lol

I would say its entirely justified.

Of course those that put more time in should have higher levels and better kit across the whole game. I dont question that in the slightest. Just not for an exp event.

My concern is that an exp event that isnt evenly spread for all players will just alienate the people that cant play during that time frame by allowing an even bigger gap to emerge between the two groups.
That gap is going to be very noticable with the exp requirment changes as it is.

Up the exp for low level quests or something, an exp event is something everyone will benefit from including the already high level characters, therefore raising the bar again.
If there was an exp event it wouldn't work out too well for people who weren't on at the right time, and the hardcore players will milk the life out of it.

That's not a bad idea at all.

Hey Babyhack, would you be able to tell us which spells for which classes have been modified just so we know for ourselves? I'm always logging in to hope assassins doubleslash dilema has been looked into, but I don't think it has been yet. I'd just like to know for sure what has been modified.

can you explain what this means in real terms plz?

From my testing players will not gain exp or levels but I can not be 110% sure of this as I can not test it on the live server.

The way the exp cap was done all the exp from level 44-50 was moved around between the levels and not adjusted per say, so the exp needed to get to 50 from 44 is the same amount just some levels needed more then others. The way I adjusted it means that the exp is now shared out more evenly.

Most of the wizard ones and some of the archers ones, I am still looking into double slash.

You still gain EXP, just probably not a level.

Say you needed 1b EXP total both on Euro and on here.

Euro was:
- 50m each 40-44 (200m total)
- 100m each 44-48 (600m total)
- 200m each 48-50 (1b total)

On here it was:
- 150m each 40-44 (600m total)
- 75m each 44-48 (900m total)
- 50m each 48-50 (1b total)

If you got up to 47 here you're almost where you would've been on Euro. You'll just need way less for the next few levels than you did for the previous ones and the exact same total amount to hit 50.
