Maybe the default setting in the ini could be blank for res and full screen. The starter checks for values and, if blank, the user has to set the required values before proceeding. The starter could open the window and the available settings have focus. Just an idea,

Installing at home now on same pc that I use for the crystal files and I get the following image. All the main dir hierarchy is created but it fails to continue to patch.
