@CremeEgg82
You're goddamn right, this is specially true when those books are almost impossible to get and only 2 people have it after 1 month.
Pre-patch -> 30mc (no renounce) +56/60 att wind
After-patch -> 30mc (no renounce) +36/40 att wind -> With this gear I was hitting 30-40s in Snow...
Tempest in lair pre-patch
- Min -> 100-110
- Average -> 120-150
- Highest -> 222 (no crits, i had 1% anyway)
Tempest after patch
- Min -> 57-65
- Average -> 80-100
- Highest -> 120-140 (from time to time I get to hit 200-250 with critical damage)
These numbers are after I spent a fortune...
I might be wrong but... why does it look like you have time to answer troll posts but not to answer player concerns, opinions and suggestions? Idk what others may think but that's what it seems to me...
Honestly... I think that Jamie's biggest mistake was to not stablish SC/MC/DC as primary stats from where comes MOST of our damage while elements could be a secondary stat but there must be a hard cap to it as to make sure it serves its purpose of SECONDARY stat that provides a minor buff...
Nope, what he needed to do in order to fix all this bullshit show was:
1. Fix SC/MC scaling and prevent elemental stacking from hermit -> This must be patched at the same time and tested properly, by a lot of players in a test server. Make sure to buff SC/MC scaling in a way that they DON'T...
Most high lvl mobs have multiple x5 elemental resistance except 2 weakness (1 for tao and 1 for wiz) so you'd be stuck with a element you would not be using at all.
The idea is good but the implementation is terrible... as of now everyone is trying to sell their att gear because it will be useless, that's why accesory reset would've been awesome right now but noooo he decided against it...
I agree with Tango, finding a balance point is so much better not only because it will be easier to increase or decrease in future patches without damage skyrocketing unpredictably but it removes the oneshot chance that 100% increased damage on crit meant.
If you had to fish for the perfect hermit stats just once it wouldn't be a problem but keep in mind that some zones/bosses require different builds (this is specially true for warriors and wizards to some extent) and rerolling hermit to effective values (such as mr) can be QUITE expensive so I...
Difficult to survive? you literally have Market Place full of cheap items and a leveling zone where you can hit 40 in mere hours while AFK, not just 40 but 50+ in a mere week or so without having to actually play.
There's no need to discard the idea altogether, you can make it so you can reset the item once and at a higher price maybe (500k maybe?) because there are a lot of good items that have become useless due to the appearance of new leveling zones or the builds for certain classes have changed... or...
