    The CD 3.40 files have been modified likely in other ways, too. Best to try to figure out the header encryption for the new style encoding, really. That, or use a old mir3 server. -- Anyway, the login process is already detailed in thedeath's server?

    Check the packet you're getting back. The Mir2 SM_ Id's are the same as the mir3 ones, so see if you're getting SM_SELECTSERVEROK back.

    I cracked the interim JoB one, way back. All that changed was the 3C bit offset (It changed to 3F). But basically, the new header is a variable length thing. I took a brief stab at it a while back (JoB-era). Not sure how the 3G ones respond. -- Use WPA (Windows Packet Analysis) for packet...

    Mir3 Encryption always was the same as the mir2 one, lol. They did change the bit mask for a short while, but the main obstacle is the data structures themselves. From what I remember, they changed the packet header. For the record, you can always find out when they've made a small change...

    Fool of a boy! Remap the power button to Hibernate :P Simply: If it's saying something that isn't true - SOMETHING IS WRONG. These things don't stop working for no reason. I'd strongly consider you try plugging the fan into a different socket, at least. I'll come round - to your house ;)

    Sigh, use hibernation, if just for your electricity bill. Hibernate will save the conents of your RAM to disk, allowing you to pick up where you left off when you turn the power back on. Also, if you're getting CPU FAN FAIL being screamed at you - get a better fan?
