advise on a set of serv files i found

hi,

well i was doing the usual looking around the chinese mir sites and i came across a set of server files dated 10/02/07, ive managed to get them running, you can only get ingame with the 2.3 client, i used the diamond 2.3 client exe to connect to the game, the 1.9 emu client runs but all the placements are mucked up, the 1.9 ledu client connects but you cant log in, so it only works with 2.3 clients as i can see, one major prob is all the items ingame are messed up, everything looks like books lol, even armors, weaps etc etc all look like books, i have attempted to conenct using the euro mir2 client with the ip's changed and i can get to the login screen but it wont go to the char screen

screenie one is the euro 2.3 client connecting but when you enter your usr name and pass it wont go to char screen



image 2 is using the diamond 2.3 client, all the items are mucked up


the m2 is 3.5 meg, but it also runs with the new m2 in the release section but again the items are all screwed

iam presuming this is a client issue but i dont know how and if its possible to get around it

any help would be greatly appreciated

Its just the DM2 files being used by the Chinese

the only plugins in the file with the m2 are:

m2server.dll
iplocal.dll
zplugofengine.dll
and 2 others with just squares on em

db is through db commander btw

ile upload em in the morning so you can have a mess with them, as i said the do run with the new m2 server in 1.9 release section, but will only login with the diamond 2.3 client

server files, setup for driveD, there ips are set to 127.0.0.1, serv name is ktest

the files have the english gamegate, as i couldnt get there one working
the db is dbc2000, the databse files are in the mud2 folder

have fun, i dont know much about the files or what they offer all i know atm is you can connect using a 2.3 client, 1.9 ledu or emu wont work for some reason, item images are not what they should be, it will run with the new m2 in the 1.9 release section.

i dont mean to be rude but have you not read the thread in full??, the reason why i was connecting with a 2.3 client is clearly stated several times above, i dont know if its translatable or not all i have done is release it for people to mess with i did state i dont know what it offers.

I think what milo is trying to say, is that he knows its a 1.9 server and it can not be translated into english. Therefore it is of no use to us.

Hes not putting you, or your release down, hes merely stating for clarity what he knows.

I don't need to read the thread I know what I'm looking at and its a 1.9 Plumewind based Emulator... I was just asking why you tried to connect to a 1.9 server with 2.3 files

There are many different chinese clients generally the server files come with the ones they use. If you don't have the client then good luck getting the files working proper
