Another eiserver.exe i found

yea ill try that i spose i gotta relize this server is setup a bit diffrent from the other 1.btw i dunno what tables are missing or what.all i did was install everything and went into the client db and made a few changes like all the ip's and my server name.so instead of the name reading Chinese i have it as i want.other then that i dunno.only other thing i can think is there is a missplaced command or something.i wish there was a easier way of making a account but untill then i spose doing it through sql will have ta do.ok off to get some tea and breakfast then back to the files lol.what a way to spend a vacation but i love it.

Well, after reading all your posts and kicking PC a few times I have managed to get Gate Opened at last

15 hours now for the client to download

How do I make an account please ?

Follow the video a bit at a time m8.

make sure you have the !setup.txt correct.
All *.ini files have your Ip

Go into the sql tables and make sure IP`s match yours.

Make sure that the korean text you see next to the IP`s in SQL is removed and add your server name instead. ie KTEST

I`m no expert I started this at 10 am this morning.

I followed every post and downloaded everything that peeps have hosted in this thread.

If I can do it anyone can...

ok thx m8 i have all my ip in the ini and in sql i have Legend as the server name new download today all new setup in sql and the server done the video all the way upto the bit where he puts the p/word as Hero1}@02 and Game1]@02 i used my sql p/word
been do in this like from monday doh doh doh it just wont look at the db 's

do you run this in english or chinese?

One thing that did cause me to scratch my head a bit was where the video showed you clicking on local for the server.

When I did this I got errors.

If you already have a previous setup in SQL for the old EI then you click on your existing SQL service manager name and not local.

Ok, im not far behind you guys now. Cracked the account making problem, i hadnt changed a null field in the first table <FLD_SECEDE> to read N, SECEDE means withdraw so i'm guessing its a flag to set the account inactive, stupid tw@ 3 hours poncing over 1 letter.

Last nite i ditched the entire SQL reg n started a clean 1 from scratch but this time using the old style sa login and the Pass in !setup.txt set up with root acess. All works great now server wise, now have to work out why the supplied client wont connect or how to stop the incorrect version error when using the Euro version.

Have to check out your latest files Wolf and see whats new.

Is it Only the v1.4 files that will work or has anyone got EuroMir Client to work? If its 1.4 could someone attach or post a link of the 1.4 client .exe and its acompnying bits .ini's etc, seems crazy to download the whole 1.4 torrent seeing as i got the euro data already and just need the exe to test out with.

So far i can make all 3 classes but only using Euro client and when ingame i get black playing area followed by the incorect version boot out (all the mouseon tips work tho so the client is kinda working).

ok unlike other's on here here is how to setup the !setup.txt file what ever you change you must tell the server how big it ie:Legend is 6 letters so you need to enter it into the !setup.txt with a hex editer so is 06 4C 65 67 65 6E 64 and its the same fro your p/word ip's and db names

Omg! lol so that why i could never get my edited !setup.txt to work lol Thanks for that Death, I'll leave things as they are for now tho, seeing as i wont be going live with it anytime soon so the loopback ip's is sufficient plus i re-did the SQL logins to suit the setup as well. Good to know for future referance tho.

Now i just taken a second look at the code i can see how i missed it as it dosent show up in the asci view >< wernt expecting each entry to b csum'd.

Wolf..you mean the char aint there when you log back in? Or is stuff you do in game not saving? That could be down to some tables having read permission but no write. Mebe its better to do as i did and make a master login and pass for all the databases with global access.

Ps. could you upload the client .exe you using to the webfolder plz mine doesnt want to know

:mer: U actualy getting ingame with that or is the magic gate error stopping you? cos i used one of the other server exe's on wolfys and the magic gate opens

ok i'm in game if you use the client from the server you need to rename the mir ini to EI.ini to run that client the magic gate was the the port in the game gate it was 5000 but it wonts 5010
