Another eiserver.exe i found

There was a "Team" who's goal so it goes was to take these files, go through them as a "team" and produce a 100% english and working Set of server files, complete with a guide on how to install etc...
do you wonder what happened to this "Team" ??? Well all started well until a few who thought they were better started to post a nice piccy on "oh i got this working" but not offering any of the information on actually how. Pretty soon the "team" split apart and now a few smaller teams are working in the files, so all duplicating the same work as well as the fact the files from each little team will never find there way onto a public forum such as this.
I think - what happened was some felt the need to rush up a server - so they could not only be first but prove they were indeed the best. As it goes, these "other teams" have not got anywhere close to were they claiming there are with half translated files, bugs and so forth....
The end result by the way, is that you yourself will have to fully translate everything as no-one - esp not me - will be sharing what they have done - so good luck on your task...
hardly any one releases work they have done but as wehn the npcs are translated i will release its only basic so not very much detail goes into them as i want to make a server and using the best ones for myself but basic will help more people and will be easier than doing it from chinese

The bottom line is the teams want to host a server and thus have the best server with the most advanced features, in that everybody on the planet will play there server as the rest will be crap right? Of course this is not the case, I am helping quite a lot of people get there server online soon - difference been is that not only will it be 100% converted to english but all the quests will work as well as the magic and so forth....So maybe the answer is greed?? I can never understand it myself, I do not intend to put a server online but i need it all fully converted so i can move onto more advanced stages - so im definatly no threat to any server online at the moment, though again i could be as i will be helping making sure the other servers will be better than the ones up at the moment...
Funny old game this Mir3 Server thing - esp when nobody makes any money out of it - the way they go on you would thin they do..
hum... so far wot i have seen about grp working is a total bolox, all they do is show stuff and not releasing nothing... I have seen this before and it's a shame that we all don't get together to make all stuff working 100%, i alway's helped every1 that came on my msn to ask for help, and ill keep helping in wotever i can... some ppl been helping too and that's wot team means, i don't belong to any grp, but i help and i get helped....

by the way has Msrf gone down? because if it has, then we could make a grp that shares our info etc
I have to totally agree with Demonic
I myself have put in probably a few hundred hours into this, my first instinct was " Hey peeps ive fixed this and this is how I did it"
My belief was if we shared we would accomplish more in a short time and in the process "learn"
But after the all the "I have done this, fixed this" and "stuff you as to how it is done" or where to get the tools needed it saddens me.
I have in the past run Mir2 server then EI, I NEVER advertised, as it was purely for my friends.
I am no threat to anyone then or now so why all the secrecy ?
I have been on one of the so called up and running Mir3 servers, they have absolutely NO room to brag peeps believe me, they are buggy, lag out, npcs are not translated and many more other probs we all have..
Being the first on line does nothing to impress me at all as my aim is to have a working playable server.
There ARE some very good and helpfull peeps on this forum and I dont need to say any names just read all the threads.
So dont get disheartened, help the helpers and ignore the users...

I would like to add this - Initially, Niughtwolf had a program that generated the right codes to make mapinfo.txt work but would not pass it out, mainly as his Mate who supllied/wrote it told him not to. Now I had no issues with that on the whole but it meant everytime I wanted to change the mapinfo, meant i would have to send the file to Nightwolf and get him to sort.
Now I was not going to sit back and allow this to be a good solution, so i went off and found a Server that uses Un-Encryted files - this rendering his program useless.
Now, the case with the encrytion on the client side (same type of thing as that mapinfo etc) people will want to change there notice.ntc quite a bit to reflect the latest news, maybe change the spells to suit what they have and so forth. Quite a few people have such a program and now Kaori - but we are back to stage one it seems, send the files over, she will do and send back.. I dont see this as the answer to be honest and its not helping in any shape or form from what i can see.
The information was found on a chinese web site - so i dont see why this holding back of the program AGAIN is the case - what is wrong with all you people????? Is this "i can do it but your not having it" catching or what?

with another updated eiserver,exe and dbsrv.exe you dont need to encript the mapinfo or any files appart from !setup.txt which has been posted but i do try and help also if anyone has any problem setting the files up i will try and help

Your right m8 about it all.I was never part of a team though but i do however like you said do the work myself.it is hard but i come out doing the best i can.iv ran a few servers for testing and people wished they was still running.i also believe you about sharing and helping.i know i havnt produced much yet but however i have helped people in this forum post.i do plan on sharing what i do even though it is hard for a 1 man team to do it all.
what iv done so far was sisnce i dont like the new ei setup:
im using my mapinf,my guardlist,my mob spawn and drops and most my npc list so far.when i say mine it is cuz i redone all them when i was running ei.i have np sharing any of these.
iv been around awhile from here to ragezone and i see what he is saying.
anyways im not getting anyfiles done bulls****ing here.ill keep people posted and remember ill only help if i know the problem lol :P
oyea and im using a diff eiserver which is reason why i can use these txt files.i havnt any tools excepts the ones kaori has produced which i might add i use alot of.

CMLIST.DAT - English version works fine apart from a web pop up
MAP.MIF - No idea what this is used for, has map names of each town
MAGIC.EXP - This is the file which tells you the magic names and info, euromir one does the job well - so no need to re-generate.
MINFO.DAT - Player magic - euromir or korean one works fine, show all spells on screen.
Notice.ntc - this is the text that displays as you login, not essential only handy if the server you host has autoupdate and people use it, good for news etc.

is that what makes it so i cant learn some spells from the books? or is it a DB prob i have asked alot of people and get no reply i have helped others i wrote a guide in the other post with screen shotsand posted links so the thread is cleaner easier to find updates

Its there choice to do what ever they want to with there files
Especially Kaori They are under no obligation to release stuff they have coded or indeed found on a chinese site
Remember chances are if nightwolf had not of released you would not of gotten the files at all I know that much
So instead of moaning be grateful that these people are here

Depends, what you need to do basically is get the Euromir MINFO.DAT file - this will allow you to click and learn all spells as long as your books / magic match up of course. The server needs hexing to change the book on which you can clikc and learn - by default is £" after the book name. Nightwolf has the hex as do a few others, as its His information, i wont post it on here...
Magic.dat is the box showing the spell names and decription, euromir files again give you a english interface on that.
