Bring back FrOzEn?

Yesterday I got infected with PE.Parite.A from an old backup of FrOzEn alpha. Coincidentally it was the same backup which was used to form Zarloc *evil laugh*.

This brought back some happy memories because I'm a sad and lonely individual who thinks of text documents as her personal friends. That being said I was wondering if anyone would like to see a return of FrOzEn in a vastly updated and renewed form. Especially in these times of 1.4 drought.

More specifically, what version of FrOzEn would you like to see in updated form? AlphaFrOzEn (my fav) or UnFrOzEn?

Obviously any 1.4 FrOzEn server would be PvP centered (bEc0Z i can PWN jst aswel das u cn), have the usual high stats, quick leveling and homezone gimmics.

Not playing either when you had them on-line I cant really judge it, but after playing with your released 1.89 files, I think it should come back. But the question is 1.4 or 9?

People say 1.9 is bugged etc... its not, its a very stable build (if setup correctly). I personally feel you should bring it back, but update it to 1.9, but at the same time not losing the "FrOzEn" feel .

i dont know lol! thats why im not voting as it doesnt sound like the best idea as you will just have about 20 FrOzEn servers on rhw user count every day with about 1 new kit added to the files. let peaple build and make thier own! unless of course you can make a stable version perhaps useing the DM2 but thats still buggy i think >.< dunno.

well you could always bring it back as 1.9 but make it so the max stats are 255-255 but special weapons/armour can make it go above that but make it a really hard quest (like killing 15 zts{made harder tho})

i havent got 1.4 on my computer anymore its kinda too outdated

The problem I have with 1.9 is that I'm told by numerous 'pro pkers' that its horrid for PvP. Now FrOzEn being a quite known for its PvP, would have to be run on a platform which allows for the best pvp experiance.

Yush, 1.9 sucks for pvp, you can hold shift and you'll continue running even if you get hit.

1.4 has always been the best set of files anyone's played on, no matter how many features 1.9 has 1.4 has always been the favourite.

@ Leo - if you bring back a 1.4 server Leocrasher with stable npc scripting, a nice update on items, and maybe a new cave or 2 that would be amazing, then we can down to buisness and see who the real pro pk'ers are becasue 1.4 Is alllllllll about the Pking baby YEHHHH! An interesting debate.

1.4 is more commonly known for being a superb battlefield for pvp, and none more so in the days of alphafrozen or later unfrozen.

The other option is 1.9 more buggy and less traditional. Well making the assumption that 'pro pkers' are as pro as they say they are, surely they can adapt to any environment? Let us not forget that environments on 1.9 can be stipulated to a manner which makes it a better battle.

I used to be preturbed by the level count on frozen servers and therefore the lack of higher items and bigger challenges. A move to 1.9 would obviously convert the level problem beyond recognition and would allow newer items, newer monsters and enhanced battle grounds.

Lets not forget that as the creator you can stipulate what skills are available for each user so if you feel a 1.9 skill destroys pvp then you can make it obselete in retrospect to the game.

Ever the endevourer i think you should convert it to 1.9 work with the players and alpha/beta it to the ground untill people are happy that the pvp scenario does the files and their reputation justice. Work with some skilled/knowledgable 1.9 people intertwine your knowledge with theirs and the best of luck in whatever you decide.

o my mistake i thought she was making the files to release >.< erm in that case i duno i wouldnt personally play frozen again as i didnt really find any fun what so ever when i did play sum of the frozen servers but i guess if you make it 1.9 and sort the server out with alot of new stuff it possibly could be worth it 1.4 is probally going to be a waste of time if some 1 could code that crappy hold shift down and it auto runs to the mob/player that would be good.

1.9 would be more better to see, everyone wants a 1.4 server to play but the novalty will wear off soon enough, every 1.9 server which has the msot features out always gets a high number count which usualy builds a good community under the correct ownership and the way they deal with cheaters and what not.

...I don't understand your point. Some people might want 1.9 due to the newest weapons and armours ability to be used on those and they might think that 1.4 is not able to use them, and I was stating that 1.4 can.

The PvP could only be changed if Damian actually changed it himself. Unless has someone has good knowledge of how to code in, Delphi I think? With 1.4 it has a more sturdy feel to it than 1.9 and just feels better for PvP, along with what Rebel said.

I feel that the new spells would unbalance the game as, well, they weren't there on UnFrOzEn or original FrOzEn and it coped quite well. Bringing in FlameField and LionRoar with the high stats of FrOzEn would severely unbalance the game.

The 'old skool' community are definitely better players than the current community which seems to exist of hyped up 13/14 year olds thinking they can 'pwn u on eny srver' due to the extremely high stats and easy levelling of most servers. At least with the 'old skool' community, you could have a decent PvP and not have abuse hurled when you lose, e.g. 'pwned irl tbh m7'.[

I really don't agree with this. When the first 1.9 server came out, everyone downloaded the 1.9 client. Do you not think people would download a measly 281mb client in order to play this 1.4 server? Most of the people here have played it and a lot of them strive to get that old school feel of Mir back, and Leo is offering it to us.
