Didn't realise you were a member of the team mental. If you were, you would know that statement to be false. It wasn't in the public domain and don't say you have connections...it just won't wash. Get back to your zone - rage.
I respect what you have done with mir2 but that respect is slowly diminishing the more outlandish statements I read.
It is tantamount to me saying that ragezone has a gross profit of several billion. Exactly - how they hell would I know?.

Errrm ... Every DC Player knows it was packe dto the brim with bugs ...
For every additional skill / feature / statistic DC had over RZ 1.9 ... U can garuntee there were at least 5 bugs that came along with it.

And everyone knows RZ is a multi-billion dollar earner. pffft nAAb :p

But seriously ... DC was bugged ... bugged to hell .. and I mean HELL .. like Lucifer on the login screen bugged :S.

Yes.
I can categorically tell you DC is 100% bug free.

Remember you never got to play the Live version you had a test version.

Id say the files were 99% euro completed and 100% bug free.

nothing is ever 100% bug free because there is human error involved, think about company products if they were always that sure then there would be no need for a tech support section in their help, and no fix patches would be released

Exactly nothing can every be bug free, thus td you will have bugs and so will any other server as im sure you cannot code perfectly without any errors at all so stop acting like you have created the perfect set of files.

I also don't understand MentaL when he says DC tried to hire the cc staff... I don't think they would want td or yourself so what do you mean?

euh virus i said i had a perfect set of files?
also who says i'm cc staff? i'm an independant releaser i am not a direct member of any team (i might be linked to alot of servers and i might be sorta in teams since they all report their issues to me but that doesnt mean i am a member of their team i just supply ppl with exe's thats it i dont deal with the actual server)

Maybe you didn't say you had a perfect set of files but you challenged Cheeky to find or name you a bug/bus in your files as if they are impossible to come across.

TBH, when it comes down to it TD will update his files and DC will update theres... only difference is TD releases... There will always be more then one server and noone will settle down to one server... for instance the biggest LOM Serv going atm is project69 and that using the old outdated ledu files, YET it still has more players then DC had at its prime and had about the same as RZ did at its prime...

its about gameplay not new great WOW features (altho i do like earthquake DC)...

PS: sorry i forget ya cheeks :O ya know ya sexy...

Nonetheless the files were still at a very good standard imo. Both DC & TD's files will be exclusive to the server they are providing for.

I personally would love to just see all these things go into the server and all the servers that are made become very succuessful. Stop the arguing seriously.
Is it really worth it? Time will tell who will have the better community and files, Im sure.

Yes it was in its prime friend... it opened with 80-90 players... if the bugs were ruled out and not restart had happened then it would have proberly been the most successful LOM Serv for years... BUT due to it being rebooted twice there will be caution when it reopens... "Should i play, may go down, ill try it when its been open for a month or so" AND believe me that will happen DC will have 20-30 players max for a couple of months before people start playing... IT may after that time reach a new prime... for now it went up then down...

im glad that closign the dc forum has reduced the amount of distractions that myself and other were placing on you enabling 99% completion

the quality of the server was reflected in that it managed to keep an active forum without even having a product

when its back up in what ever form it may evolve into, id appreciate a pm as its the only mir2 server i intend on playing again

Pffft Project69 is a Crap Server.
With Crap GamePlay.
And The whole Idea is Crappp.
However ... it's 99% ... no ... 100% Reliable ... I would bet body parts on the reliability of P69.
And in the end that is the most important factor with an Online Game .. that it will Actually be Online next time you try to log on ...
Thats why DC couldn't / won't / wouldn't surpass P69 playercount ... lack of reliability.
At the end of the day .. any Decent server will have players accumulating farrrr many more hours ingame then the developers spend making it.

Right now Mir Private Server players come in 3 categories :

A) 1.9 Players.
B) 1.9 Players waiting for 2.3.
C) People Waiting for 2.3 Playing no Private Servers.

DC got B) and C) to play ... but couldnt draw A) away from their current 1.9 Servers. That requires a reliable server & team that people will risk leaving their current character & server for.

Once a "Known" Server releases a 2.3 Version ... I suspect a 200+ Usercount that has not been seen in a while ... :S

I see what your saying bud but I disagree. The server had nothing unique at all then. They were concentrating on getting it more euro like. So basicly it was a buggier version of euro with naffed up drops. You can't really say thats a server in its prime.

As for the server wipes. The first one was because it wa sin Alpha, the server was always going to be wiped anyway, as the team said it would. And the other time it was wiped was when they had an SQL DB injection or whatever its called (im no good with these things!) and they lost everything. I think thats what happened with the second wipe, but to be fair im not really sure.

u need to shutup son. I'm sure Xander knows what he's doing. I dno whether dc will return or not, and ye sure its risky to close it down now, IF DC team will bring out a server, and want a high player count from the word GO, but the best things always come from risks. MentaL and this td guy are actin alll big now but i bet there brickin it inside u no y?, cos there pus$ys

only time will tell.

TD's files arent released to a single server hes releasing to anyone who wants them, they just dont comply with the original DM2 licensing so lomcn doesnt allow their location to be posted
(all DM2 servers are supposedly meant to give out the client source files)
